    Default It just works!

I've only been vaping for a couple of weeks and like many people I started out with a 510. Well after using the 510 for 2 weeks, I was thoroughly over dripping, topping, various cart mods, leaking liquid, flat batteries every (what seemed like) 10 minutes and the tiny size of the 510 carts. I was ready to chuck the whole thing in.

Yesterday I received an order from healthcabin that had a heap of blank cartomisers, a couple of manual kr808 batteries and a means to charge them. If this didn't work, I was going back to analogs. 36 hours later, I'm in vaping heaven! The cartomisers are easy to fill (following instructions found on this forum), I'm getting 30-35 drops using Taryns spinning method which is at least double what the 510 carts hold and I have no leaks and now have batteries that won't let me down... As far as vapor production goes, it was pretty lame at first but after about 1/2 a cartomiser it definately picks up to an acceptable level. I've refilled one carto 3 times and it still kicking out plenty of vapor and flavor.

All the 510 stuff is already in a box in the shed gathering dust!! I'm a KR convert

I agree! My 510 is also collecting dust. It was awful getting juice all over. Also I just could not get any flavor out of it. It Tasted burnt to me all the time even with the direct drip. Now I have a vapor king and it to me is a whole new ballgame. The carts are made better and no leaks thank god.

Any cut off on the manual batts?

I am starting to hate this KR808 forum to be honest, I am fairly happy with my 510, but I am hearing far too many positive things about these cartomizer based PV's, they seem to deliver the goods on a constant basis...it's only a matter of time before I crumble and buy a ton of stuff!!!

Yeah! Another 510->KR808 convert!! Taryn's refilling method rocks, huh? I know some people just haven't really "gotten" their 808's for some reason or don't seem to get any vapor. I love mine. AND get lots of vapor, though I'll admit that's sometimes dependent upon what cartomizer is on it at the moment as they're definitely not all created equal. I love getting blanks and spinning them up with Drew's juices -- it's like a never-ending 510.

I used to think I might have to move up to a mod, but now I'm not so sure. I love the battery life and I'm only using the short auto's, fer cryin out loud!! I can't imagine even being able to take a longer draw than it gives - have never had it cut me off mid-draw.

LOL, I keep looking at the prices and justifying it to myself...

50x blank cartomizers for $65 delivered - Bargain!

510 to KR808D battery adaptor (probably around $20 when we get them in the UK) - Bargain!

Other bits and bobs (proper batts, PCC, PT, charger etc could be grabbed later and at my leisure if the 510 cells aren't up to the job...

One thing is for sure, this "hobby" will never see me "save money" by packing in the smokes!

(Oh, as for battery mods, I gotta have a Black Beauty, but if I grab the 510 to KR adaptor, I'm set up nicely with that as well).

If anyone wants to send me their retired 510 stuff, I'll take it in the name of science/experimentation! I am working on using the 510 atomizer with a direct feed fluid to coil system (much like the KR808 with an absorbative material straight to the coil). I have been having great luck so far but materials are dwindeling. As of now, I have a system which hits consistently on the 510 with better flavor and more throat hit. It uses home made carts (which are easy to build). The whole system will give us the hit of the KR808D with the extended coil life of a 510.

6 seconds, however a quick blip of the button extends it as much as you like.

I agree the 510 did not have much flavor I think the atty got so hot that the flavor got lost did produce lots of vape though. I dont know if your interested but I sold all of my ecig stuff ( I had a lot) on the swap section of this forum maybe you could get some cash for your 510 rather then collecting dust I had several people pm me to see if I could sell the whole lot seperately and a few wanted the 510 model I had.
