    Default Vector VV, vaporbeast

i must say that im pretty stoked to get my first vv. i got the vector vv kit, a dc tank, and 15 SR boge cartos all for 100. pretty good deal considering volcanoe sells just the kit with only one battery for $100.

but the reason im posting this is to find out if anyone has used this version of the lavatube. seems legit. just want to confirm. thanks guys. any other suggestions on hardware for my first LT would be appreciated

The Vector and Varitube X are the same except the price and logo on them.
Currently vaping on my SS Vmax from CCV, DCT's and Boge Carto's 3.0 OHM's and Smoktech ViVi tanks modded w/SS mesh

I have both the original Lavatube as well as the Varitube X (which is identical to the Vector) and I can say that it is awesome. The performance of this thing on 1.7 ressurectors and dc's is really good. I do need to go find some NoLox or something similar as my threading is a little tough. But other than that I have truly loved it. I have used much more expensive VV's and for me this thing does everything I can ask for at a much cheaper price.
    Currently Vaping: eGo-t 18650 / Kanger T2 / Monkey Juice from CigTechs
Current PV's/APV's: Original Lavatube, Varitube X, Gripper VV, Lambo 4.0, (2) eGo Twists, DNA 12 and a bunch of standard 510 and 808 batteries

I second mindshatter's post. I did not buy the Version 1.0 L-Rider Vtube---lack of resistance checking and the underperforming 2.5 amp limit were deal-breakers for me---but I do own both a Vector Variable Volt from VaporBeast and a Varitube X from iVape. Except for the rebranded names, they are identical V1.5t units from Young June.

While I can't comment on how the V1.5t compares to the L-Rider V1.0, I do have 17 other VV mods, and both of mine perform as well as any of VV I own.

Yeah, they do have the "stealth mode low power" glitch if I press the power button an extra sixth time after the 5-click power off sequence, but that doesn't bother me much since I never take either one out of the house. What the V1.5t apparently doesn't have, however, is the shorted-out chip meltdown problem that at least one unit of the previous version V1.5 (without the "t") had, where the aluminum casing of the chip assembly shorted out one of the three chips and caused the unit to fire by itself and not stop firing, plus melting the display and ruining the device). Both VaporBeast and iVape told me that their distributor rep had assured them that Young June fixed that serious flaw before making the V1.5t. While something that a rep told a vendor provides no iron-clad guarantee that Young June did indeed remedy that potentially dangerous design flaw, I've not heard or read of any 1.5t units suffering the failure.

Supposedly, Andrew at CCV (it was his personal V1.5 that melted down) is getting the chrome V2.0 from Young June---with the amp limit increased from 3 to 4 amps---to offer as a replacement to customers who bought a V1.5 from CCV, but those haven't arrived yet, so time will tell.

    Kevin,

Yes, it's a version 1.5t from Young June. More power and higher amp limit than the L-Rider V1.0, but definitely not 4A (even though some specs said so). More like 2.8-3.0A.

Assuming we're talking about the same device (meaning from Young June rather than L-Rider), the new version 2.0 hasn't hit vendors' shelves quite yet. That's supposed to come with the new spring-loaded center post eGo-style top connector and a "true" 4.0A limit, but we'll see on that...) Crystal Clear Vaping is expecting delivery of those soon as replacements for their V1.5 recall.
