We have almost 500% tax on tobaccos base on my own calculation, not based on any research.

We pay COE whenever we purchase a new car, the COE (Certificate of Entitlement) law is exclusive to Singapore. You can read more about it here and yes, they cost a bomb.

Someone in our country got arrested for tapping into his neighbour's wireless network to surf the net.

Though not usually enforced, gathering in groups of more than 5 people without a permit is considered an illegal gathering. But they don't really care unless you look suspicious. I go out in groups of 8 to 10 all the time.

Trafficking more than 15 grams of heroine or 30 grams of cocaine is punishable by death.

These are some of the amazing laws we have.
That's why is called Singapore... stands for $$$

People are called for smoking overseas cigarettes because they did not pay Tobacco Tax. At the moment, the Singapore Law has not made the e-Cig taxable yet. It's banned from sale because in our law, it is stated that "No sale or advertisment of products designed or packaged to resemble tobacco products is allowed"

So far, there are no laws which bans the usage of such products yet. The custom officers have the rights to ask you where you got it from, but at the moment, they cannot arrest or fine you. This thing is not illegal to possess yet, but who knows, maybe in the future when the e-Cig gets popular, the government may just ban it outright.

We are safe for now, but for how long, we'll never know. Like what you said, you know the kind of government we have here.
So did you use E-Cigs and puffs vapors at Police Beat Base???
Wondering how would they take it???
Since it's banned from selling .... it's not banned from using it rite???
Damn... i really feels like going in Singapore right away and puff right away at any Police Beat Base.... since am just a tourist.... i got my rights of stuffs not from singapore....... Arrgghhhh!!!!!...

Hi, 1st post here. I have been lurking in this forum for sometime. Last week I decided to order my 1st e-cig from David Yang. I ordered a DSE901(balck) starter kit, an extra atomiser, a usb charger and 2 extra box of cartridge via his website.

After I placed my order, I start getting worry that my package will be stop at Singapore customs. But to my delight, the packages was delivered to my doorstep a few days later and all items inside are in good working condition.

Ever since I made my 1st enquiry and express interest in e-cig, David has been very helpful and often call to answer my questions and do follow up on my order. In fact, he contact me 5 min later after I recieved my package (Not exaggerated. I just finish opening up the delivery box when he call ) lead me to believe he have people spying on me. lol

2 days after I recieved my DSE901, David call again to check about the condition of the product. Unforuntaly I gave my e-cig to a friend. Girl, don't ask.

I have place another order from him and hopefully I'll get it without any problem.

First post!

Shocked at the number of Sg bros here.

Anyways, I currently own a NJOY and no probs yet. Here in the Great US of A for business so had no probs with customs etc. But now i'm stuck cuz i want to bring my njoy home when i'm done here.

based on the Singapore customs website (which i am not allowed to post here with <15 posts) Information for travellers,

The following items are NOT allowed to be imported into Singapore:
Chewing gum (except oral dental and medicated gum)
Chewing tobacco and imitation tobacco products

And we have established that Singapore customs see's ecigs as an imitation tobacco product (total BS if you ask me). So how now brown cow.

Initially I thought importing for sale or distribution was the only hurdle, but apparantly just bringing these things in even if its for personal use is not allowed too.

Default How received my Evo.

Hi Fellow SG e-smokers~ I received my evo recently. (1 month ago or so) I won't give the real date just to be safe. (but the time line is quite accurate)

Got confiscated by the fellows at our drug and wad-so-ever surveillance unit. So sadly, It has to be sent back or destroyed.

But this is not important, below would be a report on when I placed my order and the time it took to arrive here.

For those who are egerly waiting for their e-cig to reach here or planning to order 1, this little read would be useful for you.

So here is a REPORT:

- I made an order around the 1st of last month

- It was invoiced on the 3rd of last month

- Got an email stating it was dispatched on 6th of last month

- Got letter from the surveillance unit on around 12th-14th of last month

- The E-ciggarettes, I opted to be DESTROYED on the same day I went down. ( 1-2 days later)

- so, total take about 12-14 days for you to realise that you kana screwed already.

Now, of course I feeling like sai, because my money down the lokang thanks to our FINE country.

BUT WAIT!!!... I also made an order from another supplier and recieved it! KNN, why like dat leh???

Then I go think about it and realised that you can increase the chance of getting your e-cig with some steps. Or maybe even gurantee you get your order and no need say byebye to your $$$.

Of course I dun post here la, or sum cheebye from the gov read already den no more lobang. But any SG bro want to find out, private msg me. I base on feeling, see you can or cannot trust wan den I share with you, but bo gurantee hor! ~
