    Default Denmark bans e-cigs

    http://www.icenews.is:80/index.php/2008/10/21/denmark-bans-smokeless-cigarettes/

Enforcement remains an unknown. The reason, however, is the same many other countries are likely to argue in banning e-smoking of nicotine cartridges.

We can still legally sell electronic cigarettes, cigars and pipes from other European countries, and Danes aren’t forbidden from buying them over the Internet for their own use
dont understand the first part of that quote. can a seller in denmark still sell them online from denmark?..still this ban is un-enforceable. perhaps if sellers can still sell their products online, it will mean a tidy profit for them. notice how it was reccomended by the danish medicines agency...hummm, I wonder what their motive was. (no i dont)

The noose getting tighter....looks like they want to encourage us smokers to continue the normal tobacco burn instead of the newer and much better "smoking" method...unknown type of nicotine or unapproved type of nicotine...what a load of BS...

More on the subject in these threads:
Ecigarettes and Eliquid BANNED in Denmark

Letter from the Danish Medicines Agency

DC: Sellers cannot sell cartridges and liquid from danish online shops. U2Lifestyle is selling from Slovenia. Another danish online dealer, nycigaret.dk, is contemplating selling his e-cigs from Denmark, but shipping the carts and liquid from Greece.
Marketing directed towards Danes is also illegal, which would explain why U2Lifestyles website was converted to english a couple of weeks ago :-)

    From the piece:
The days of the smokeless cigarette may be coming to an end in Denmark because they have been found to contain an unapproved form of nicotine.

What do they mean by "form" of nicotine? Do they simply mean the way it is delivered (through carts/liquid) or do they mean literally a different formulation of the actual substance itself?

Seems to me the former is totally unimportant, but the latter potentially somewhat important if the suggestion is that different formulations have (fundamentally) different effects on humans.

Basically, are all nicotines created equal?
