You can get Yaz (whatever that is) which may cause stroke, heart failure and a list of other side effects but you dont hear about Yaz getting seized during shipment. And is it really true that nothing has been submitted to the fda for testing? I say give em a free starter kit. How many fda employess do you think use the e-cig themselves.

Fenbass, funny stuff but but really you make a good point that I have posted several times also....we need a media campaign that spells out facts....more and more people would most definately give up smoking and turn to this form of nicotine if they were aware of the information. True ecigs themselves have not been tested long term but past and current studies as well as common sense when compared to tobacco I believe supports the "less harm" that we need to keep this legal in the US. I have written letters to congressmen and women and talked to as many people as I know about this but I really wish I knew someone in the media- and I really encourage the ECF to band together create a fund and go media written and television.

I agree. However, the tricky part is not coming off looking like an infomercial. However a campaign like this does not come cheap. I work for a film studio and even a 30 second commercial can cost well over $200k and that's just for production. Advertising is an entirely different set of expenses. We'd definitely need some serious captial investments to make it work. I did see in another thread about someone contacting local news stations. It's free advertising and most people actually watch the news. The more we can get the word out, the better.

I have been smoking over 56 years.

I have tried just about every cessation product on the market, everything short of hypnotism. None of that crap worked.

Some 20 years ago, I even went (near) cold turkey for 30 days, until my live-in GF (who was a non-smoker), told me I could please start smoking again because my attitude and my late night risings, and pacing was driving her batty!

I was smoking on average 16-22 cigarettes a day.

I started vaping e-cigs on Monday Oct. 5th. By Wednesday I had smoked a total of only 6 analog cigarettes. The last two analogs on Wednesday led to weird sensations in my abdomen, dizziness, and slight nausea. I awoke Thursday morning sluggish, depressed and with a really bad taste in my mouth and throat.

I am now four days smoke free! Vaping only! I feel great already! I can look in the mirror and stare right into my own eyes without flinching! Damn, I’m getting pretty!

So I conclude that the only reasons the FDA and States could possibly have for trying to suppress this wonderful, life saving cessation technology is:

    a) Deep pocket tobacco industry lobbying.
    b) The threat of lost revenue currently gained by bilking billions out of helpless cigarette addicts.
    c) (see A and B)

One of the elements of Fascism is corporatism.
Revolt or move out of the way.

Yeah...real nice. So Tobacco Cigarettes are "safe and effective for their intended uses"? Its all such a scam. Big Pharma and Big Tobacco are putting pressure on the FDA, and they in turn are trying to scare the crud out of the public.
