I am very concerned about this too. I would hate to have to go back to tobacco. I don't really know what to do unless make a big deal if they do ban it. My Dr told me that when I got an ecig to bring it and show him. He thought it was great and I vaped right in his office. Weve been talking about the fact that I should not be smoking for more than year. The media attention so far is not really helpful if a ban goes into effect

I also wondered about it and decided to stock up as best I could. I got a mod that uses a regular battery so I don't have to depend on the ones from China and I got a bunch of atomizers and juice. I think the atomizers are the part that we can't duplicate, so thought this was the way to go.

Could you tell me more about this? What does it work with? By "regular battery", do you mean...like...an energizer? Where do you get this mod? How do you like it?

There are several battery mods on this site. I've made a few to try out also. Radio Shack is hard to beat - especially for 901s.

    1 - 4xAA box
    1 - N type coax connector
    1 - momentary switch

    All total around 5 bucks.

A little wire twisting and battery case modding later... and you have a battery case using 3 out of it's 4 places for batteries, and 1 space for wires and switch / connector housings.

Your 901 atomizer or cartomizer will screw right onto the N type connector no mod needed, and you can use standard rechargable or name brand AA batteries in there! No problemo!

    Take care,
    - Hap

As far as i know, all the mods (like the screwdriver, v1, prodigy, etc.) use batteries that you can buy at places like radio shack. They're not standard AA's but they are widely available.

Edit: Ah, i see haplo already answered the question

...is to go ahead and buy as much as you can now.

Semantic nitpick: the FDA would not be "banning" eCigs; they have never been approved

But yeah. Just buy what you can afford while you still can. If this case is decided in favor of the Defendant, the FDA, then interstate commerce in these items will be a Federal Criminal offense.

Not to be a semantic nitpicker or anything but isn't making it a "criminal offense" to import something equivalent to banning?

No worries, I've had nearly everything I've said today turned into something that I had not set out to say, or turned on a dime into something associative. Most people knew what you meant and understand the relative term.
