Anyone in California, please call 916-445-2841 (the Governors office) and request him to veto the bill. Don't be afraid to call, he's an elected official and it is his duty to serve the people. From personal experience with calling elected officials, you'll likely be handled by an army of staff, but be kind, and make sure you get your opinion known.. if you can, talk to the Governor himself.

I Just contacted the Governors Office by Telephone... It is not possible to speak with the Governor himself, however you can voice your opinion to his staff.

I explained myself thoroughly and was treated very politely. One more vote to let Arnie know that we don't want this to pass!!

EVERYONE IN CALIFORNIA CALL PLEASE!!! it took me about 5 minutes total!

again the phone number is 916-445-2841 (the Governors office)

Not quite...still got 5 days. Some good may happen. Legislation would make selling the products a no-go. They can't do anything about the stuff we've already got. It won't be illegal to own or use one.

I emailed my Political Science teacher about the E-cig ban in California (since this is where i live) and she looked up the actual bill. I received a reply from her saying "I'd love for you to talk about this in class tonight; not only do we have lots of smokers on campus who would probably like to quit, but it's a good example of our short-sighted legislators!"

So I did a little research before class only to find out that this bill was introduced as a "Clean Energy Bill" and then was changed to completely ban sales of E-cig's in California.

I explained to the class as much as i could about the E-cig and the bill that is sitting on The Governator's desk that needs to be VETO'd. Everyone had so many questions regarding the E-cig and many of the students promised me they would send an email and make a phone call.

SCORE ONE for our team not sure if this will make any change though....

Sorry to eveyone for the hijacking, but i had to comment on this post.

maureengill, just because you didn't like McCain didn't mean you had to vote for the "joker". There were other candidates to choose from or you could have wrote one in like i did.

You know, I really could care less about your politics, as I'm sure you could about mine. There are others who think the "Joker" was your candidate, so stuff it.
