Has everybody done this? Tell me if you think it's time to just throw in the towel and accept this. SB 400 will ban the sales of all electronic cigarette devices in California. Quoted from Kamanjah's post..... "The bill has been now been sent to the Governor. If the Governor doesn't veto this bill by Oct 11, sales prohibition will become law in California. Please contact Governor Schwarzenegger! <<link!!! It's easy. All they ask for is your name and email address. Please, let's flood his office with VETO SB 400! Use twitter if you can, simply type @schwarzenegger Please Veto SB 400!" Has everyone done this or have we given up? It is important to do even if you don't live in California because other states will follow. Can we e-mail him more than once or would that just be an annoyance. I know this post is redundant but i wanted to post it again for any newbies or people that missed the first, second or third time. Just do it!!!!! Also, i'm willing to do some footwork if anyone needs help. I live in Orange County CA. |

I'm just not sure what can be done at this point. Not giving up i'm just not politically savvy. The clock is really ticking and i'm not sure what can be done other than send twitter messages or messages via the gov. website mentioned in the post. So this is what it feels like to have your hands tied. |

Here's a good way to contact him about this issue. Select this link: Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger - Interact Type in your real first name, last name, and email address. Select 'Governer' from the Subject drop down list. Hit submit to bring up the email form. Paste this canned message, replacing --Your Name Here-- with your name. Code: Please veto Senate Bill 400. Senate Bill 400 is designed to ban electronic cigarettes which are, according to all preliminary studies performed by the Food and Drug Administration, a safer alternate to tobacco cigarettes. Placing a ban on them now will force many users to go back to regular cigarettes at the expense of their health, their loved ones health, and the health of those around them. Rather than banning them at the request of Big Tobacco, we should embrace them, regulate them, and help forward their acceptance for their positive health benefits. Signed, --Your Name Here-- You should be taken to an email success page. EVERYONE please use do this, and have everyone you know please do this. EDIT: Anyone in California, please call 916-445-2841 (the Governors office) and request him to veto the bill. Don't be afraid to call, he's an elected official and it is his duty to serve the people. From personal experience with calling elected officials, you'll likely be handled by an army of staff, but be kind, and make sure you get your opinion known.. if you can, talk to the Governor himself. EDIT2: I'm looking up the number now to contact the HRC Action Center guys to see if this is something they'd consider setting up as something to get more support from them.

I know this will be banning sales in CA, but does it mean that it will be illegal to use and have in CA as well?
