Um perhaps I'm missing something, but if the ban is on "battery powered cigarettes," then wouldn't it still be legal to buy e-cigs with USB passthroughs? Or simply e-cigs that have been labeled as a "personal vaporizer" and not an "electronic-cigarette"?

ban is
the ban is Australia is on the -
vapourising liquid containing nicotine
cartridges containing nicotine
e-cigs if they contain nicotine
e-cig parts if they contain nicotine
so as cucurucho said.....
the ban is on the nicotine
and anything that contains it.
if the liquid, cigs and or parts
have no nic,
no problem.

All these places are over 18/21 only, so the worry of children buying them is practically zero. Even if they sold the disposable ones, it would be a foot in.
The way to promote this is to actually use the e-cig in the pub and casino's so that they can actually see it, I had that many people ask me about mine on the plane trip back from the USA to Australia, I got them through customs fine, and today recieved a parcel via EMS no problems.
The more we get out there and show people what it is and explain it and show it, the more people will be aware of it and actually stand behind it.
Especially when they see it is a healthier option and also a less stinky option.. Who can compete with the smell of coffee, vanilla and chocolate.

I have been promoting it to our armed forces and am getting quite a bit of a following, if people do not have to duck out for a smoko break, it is more productive as well.
Plus partners who dont smoke and hate the smell can no longer complain.
Even if you do give up smoking, it is the feel of having a smoke that ex smokers really really miss. Not so much the nicotine.
