    Default PACT act question

I've looked around, but can't seem to find a date for a possible senate vote. Is there any way to get advance notice, or will the law sneak up on us like a thief in the night?

It's scheduled to be considered by the senate judiciary committee on 11/19 at 10:00 am.

Considered, as in they might bring it back in to vote on it? Or they will be voting on it?

It has to come out of committee first, and even that step is not certain. Lots of measures die in committee. The last time this one was scheduled for committee consideration, it didn't even come up. So it was carried over. If it exits committee, you'll likely have plenty of notice and time before this monster gets a full Senate vote.

But ... the House overwhemingly approved it and the Senate will do likewise after all the fire-breathing speeches die down.

If not now, next time around. Politicians like this one.

Evidently it was unanimously approved today.

Evidently? Do you have a link to prove it?
