German customs retains Liquid

More and more the german customs grab and hold liquid, which was directly ordered at non-EU countries.
It's justificated by medical issues, but I believe the real reason is symply money:
Because the liquid-retaining order came by the federal ministry of finance I would expect just the fear of losing taxes.


Do you experience similar raising problems getting your liquid from outside your Country?

Thanks for your contribution.

Today I got the information of a british buddy, that they have no problems with their customs. They only have to pay VAT and Duty.

Maybe we have to order via UK in the future...
