Nice, Vocalek. I would like to add to your post that the long-term effects of nicotine are known. Yes, it can constrict blood vessels, but as many things, its usage depends on the health of the user. A man in post-op for a heart bypass shouldn't run a marathon. A person with liver failure shouldn't drink.
Also, it may be interesting for y'all to know that nicotine has some actual beneficial uses against infection.
Nicotine May Help Treat Sepsis
I agree with you. Ever since I went on e-cigs, I feel miles better. I, too, am not interested in quitting nicotine. I find it strange that I can get nicotine gum, but officials are finding that vaping is somehow scary and wrong. So, what, it's fine to cough out black crap from my lungs, but it's not okay to smell decent, have normal-coloured teeth, and breathe easily. Doncha just love this country, sometimes?
We should remember how we felt about this (when the facts are irrelevent and it's done "for the children") when the conversation turns from e-cigs to SUV's, nuclear power, guns, global warming, the homeless... Let's not do what we hate, people.
In the future I hope my e juice will not have to come from a greedy tobacco company. I wonder who gets the money we spend on liquid nicotine Is it the tobacco farmer(i dont think so) or a chem company or worse. Anyone out there know?
