Default Fox News just did a decent e-cig bit

Just laying here on the couch vaping on my Dura and saw Fox news do a story on electronic cigaretes. They were showing a Smoke stik but actaully showed positive interviews. They even called out the FDA questioning why they would ban these but allow real cigarettes..

Saw the same news story. It was good. I love the way the host dissed the FDA considering a ban because they may not be safe.

There was a doctor commenting in the news story that was very positive, claimed this technology likely has a higher successes rate than traditional NRT's.

Based on what I see here on this forum and from my own experience. Vaping must be close to 100% to getting people off analogs.

Lets get down to the real issue, Feds are loosing tax money for every vap-person.

Yeah well they will just have to suck it up and absorb it somewhere else.
Florida just approved another dollar tax on cigarettes. Im down to a few a day and plan to put them down for good on Monday. Thank God for my PV!

I wish I had gotten a chance to see the news clip!

I am looking for something about it in the archives, but I think it's great that they called the FDA out like that.

Yep, it's all about the money.

Why not just put warning labels on e-cigs like they do on every box of cigarettes sold and call it "done!"

Can't seem to find a link on the Fox site for this story. Maybe it will post up on thier web site later. I was shocked at how positive it was.

    I saw it, too. Excellent.

I really think that eCigs are going to be a huge wave. The arguements of the anti crowd are so weak, it simply can't carry the day.

While I agree that Fox is not usually my favorite source of information, I applaud them for taking the side of the smoker on this one. There has been such a huge amount of effort placed on getting people to quit smoking, and here we stand on the cusp of a evolutionary compromise.

I certainly hope that the perfect is not the enemy of the good for eCigs.

It may be a bumpy ride, but I truely believe we have right on our side here. We need to press the health authorities to speed up the testing process and get the controversy surrounding them to go away.

Just as catalytic converters didn't eliminate 100% of the emmisions created by automobiles, few would deny they have helped. Drivers were not asked to quit driving until it was proven that they would be effective.

You make very valid points. I like your analogy with the catalytic converters.

Like someone said above...cigarettes have been PROVEN to be harmful, yet they aren't banned.... just a little warning label.
