    E cigarettes - a warning - The Consumer Forums

Another case of one side of the story, with no proper research.

At least there are some supporters here: E-igarettes v Zyban... - The Consumer Forums

Just who is "A Trading Standards authority"?

A random warning about a product with no sources quoted? I would like to see their source.
If God is watching us, the least we can do is provide some entertainment.

"Trading Standards" are the organisation who regulate the sale of goods in the UK. "Authority" will be the local area the particular trading standards office are based.

I'd love to see his source too. There are no links, just a rant and now despite the post showing a link to a positive lab report, he still comes back on and says they have not been properly tested, and they've only been tested on mice. Erm..... aren't MOST things tested on lab mice, because the mouse reacts in a way similar to a human because of the DNA in them. Another ignoramous who has probably seen one report and made up his own mind.....note he's a "non smoker". Hardly surprising.

Only tested on mice... we are mice? Humans have been testing/using them for the past five years. (1000's if you include all the years we have directly chewed and swallowed this stuff. Inhaling the vapor through heated cigarettes, and with baking.)

Oh... "Electronic cigarettes" have not been tested... You know how hard it is to fit one of these things in a mouse's mouth!

The reply from Erika was more or less on the button though.

    This is short-sightedness personified.

If I were a betting man, I'd say her response would go something like "But their liquid isn't tested on humans, only on mice. I'll stick to my government approved, 3000 chemical cigarettes."

    Just a hunch.
