I agree do the NZ study... I have the PDF and have read it... there is also one from Germany... but it wasn't as clear (to me) as the NZ one.

We here on the coast are really hoping that Oregon stands up and takes a stand FOR the e-cig... and the News would be a GREAT Place to start!!

There's room for slinging mud at both parties. Kennedy isn't the lone driving force behind anti-smoking taxation.

    KPTV's reply to my comment.

It's a shame. I though we might have gotten some fair reporting out of KPTV.

Thank you for your message. We are glad to hear from you! I am glad to
hear you have found success with the electronic cigarette. We are doing
our story tonight on the claims that the companies selling e-cigarettes
in Oregon are making about their product. The main concerns of the
Department of Justice in Oregon are not about the marketing of the
device toward teens, although that is part of their investigation. The
FDA's main issues with the electronic cigarettes are also not about the
marketing of the device toward children. Both the state of Oregon and
the FDA's concerns are about the companies needing to submit proper
information showing that their products work as advertised. Aside from
that, there are health researchers that are concerned that the
electronic cigarettes allow a person to continue being addicted to
nicotine. I would love to hear more about people who have successfully
reduced their nicotine use with the e-cigarettes. Do let me know!

    Thanks again,

    Kerry Tomlinson

Unlike Nicorette, Commit... and Nicotrol? So, now it's quit cold turkey or die?
    Nice.

Why does our society continue to view addiction as a moral failure instead of a human problem deserving of compassion and assistance?

Well..... It wasn't the WORST thing I've seen. I was still very frustrated with their "expert" who equated nicotine addiction to smoking. I am quite happily addicted to nicotine. At least now I won't die from getting it!
