Electronic Nicotine
Since smoking has become such an issue in this country, companies are looking for a profitable solution. Many people believe an answer has been found in the form of electronic cigarettes. The electronic cigarette claims to have fewer chemicals than a regular cigarette, and no tar or ashes. It is also said to produce no secondhand smoke. All of these factors make the electronic cigarette sound like a good alternative to tobacco cigarettes, but the selling points may be a façade.

Anything that the FDA and the WHO (I had faith in this org to be honest, not now though) say from now on will have zero credibility in my eyes.
They are just puppets of big business, their biased views on e-cigarettes show that.

Makes you wonder if it is wise for newspapers to outsource their journalists.

It's a college paper, but that is no excuse for poor journalism!

I was talking to some friends of mine tonight who had never really heard about ecigs. I explained how they worked and they immediately saw the benefits over analogs. When I mentioned that they might be banned by the FDA, the response was that it was the work of big tobacco. I said "Ah - so it is really that obvious!"

If anything it's less excuse than a career journalist has. I would imagine that's the point in time when an idealism-fueled, aspiring muckraker (a term I'm using with affection) would be striving to go above and beyond the quality of work of those they will be looking to replace.

Guess a few thousand of us can verify that. I love it when these people get educated.
