This was posted this morning in the Vapor4Life forum, and I am copying it and pasting it a few places here on this website. Please forgive the double postings, I just think we need to get on this people!
SO I cruise the FDA website becasue I am seeing so much other stuff everywhere about this I decide to start at the source first! BIg thing I notice FIRST THING
IS THERE IS A DEADLINE OF SEPT 22 ( Only 2 days left to get your comment up!)
this link leads to info about how they want your comments; saying the FDA uses peoples comments to help make the rules and instructions on how to do it.
Comment on Proposed Regulations and Submit Petitions
Trying to find the actual link of where is a bit more difficult but eventually I find a guide for how to comment Regulations.gov
And a Place to Veiw others comments already posted
Regulations.gov
And last but ,not least, a link to post your comment
Regulations.gov
(Although the last 3 links show up saying regulation.gov they actually go to the right places there)
Another big thing I notice is that there are only 367 comments posted! That is not many people standing up for what we want Perhaps we should post?

I left a comment shortly after the comments opened, but I am not sure if it ever really got posted. I am going to do so again.

Take a look at the Star Scientific, Inc. document:
ID=FDA-2009-N-0294-0033.1
From p. 3
Nicotine is the Product
Tobacco products are all nicotine delivery systems, varying in bioavailability, dosing efficiency, and the nature and amount of contaminants delivered along with the nicotine. An examination of the yields from cigarettes of the known carcinogen NNK reveals a significant positive correlation to the nicotine yield from the cigarette (Figure 2; R-squared 0.31, p<.0001; data on file at Star Scientific).
From p. 6
Star’s position is that use of any nicotine-containing product has some definable risk, either local or systemic, but that there are marked and meaningful differences among products. Star agrees with the researchers at the American Health Foundation and the International Agency for Research on Cancer that major toxins of concern in smokeless tobacco are the proven carcinogens NNK and NNN. Two other tobacco-specific nitrosamines are formed from anabasine (NAB) and anatabine (NAT), but the levels in tobacco are lower and the evidence of carcinogenicity for these compounds is weaker than for NNK and NNN.
