I hope no one takes me too seriously about the whole CO2 thing. It was meant more of a sarcastic remark against the whole PC society around us.

It's scary though, if the Census goes the way it's going, we could have to account for how many ploom drags we take.

My hope is that this device, the Iolite and the heatbar are the first of many devices to come. Whether this thing is any good or not, the fact that its been developed is good for all of us. Keep them coming I say, but versatile, cheap to run and a good long warranty is what we want!

Ploom heats never burns. Analogs burn tobacco (combustion).
We use real tobacco while e cigs use liquid nicotine. e cigs can not do this, as they don't have enough power.
Correct me if I am wrong, but wouldn't temperatures that would vaporize raw tobacco also heat glycerin to an unsafe level? It would seem that they may may be leeching tobacco in a PG/VG solution and this operates very similar to a PV with an alternate energy source.

Actually it looks like I was incorrect. Move along folks, nothing to see here.

Interesting concept I guess...but I wonder why anybody would want to inhale spent butane fumes.

Does anybody know at what temperature nicotine decarboxylates into it's effective form? "Another substance" that is commonly vaporized generally requires 222 F +/- for the non-effective carboxyl groups to dissipate and the desired effect to occur.

I would hope most people would want to inhale water molecules and CO2 - or they better stop breathing air right now.

145C is the temperature you are looking for

    Why?

We don't even know how manufacturers are producing e-liquid... nobody regulates it.
