Here's another great quote from the article: "Jose Canseco, the steroid-tainted baseball slugger turned e-cigarette pitchman"

I wish there were more of us so we could all stand in front of the main

Macpanda,
You bring tears to my eyes just remembering my old flac jacket and gas mask while watching a line of National Guardsmen march towards us in a sea of bayonets during the Kent State and OSU demonstrations!
Note: Funny though that I ended up serving 5 years in the Air Force less than a year later. My draft lottery was coming up and I wasn't ready for the"underground" in Canada! :-)

Thanks for the post, Sun. Reality is setting in. Anyone who has read extensively on this forum for any length of time knew this was coming.
This is at least the third alarm, however. Before long, it won't be possible to hit the "snooze" button and continue blissful ignorance. Act on your own behalf now.
There's a lot of ignorance in this thread, and a lot of venting. Nowhere is there a sound, logical sequence of arguments to continue the marketing of an unregulated drug of untested purity and content from China. Step back from your e-cig, look dispassionately about our practice and devices -- and you'll see that this isn't some conspiracy to take away freedom, reward lobbyists, assure revenue, etc. It's an agency doing it job. Enforcing protective measures is what the FDA must do.
It knows nothing, and we know nothing, about the real safety of what we're doing. Until that is known, continuing down the unknown path is untenable. I expect harsher measures loom.

Regardless of an FDA ban or not, I will continue to vape. We all have examples from the past when the government tried to ban stuff. Bans do not work. The only problem we have to overcome is how to make atomizers of our own. I will find a way, and when I do, then the FDA & Big Tobacco will not have that power over me anymore. If they ban it, it will just go underground, and that is where I will be.

I wonder if the FDA quote is legitimate or a misquote. It is not illegal nor is it a drug. As I have said on this topic before - the FDA will bow to political will. Contact your conress people and senators and tell them that that this is a bad idea. US citizens - you have the right to petition, take advatange of it.

I do not expect a Government agency to start banning things until they are proven to be harmful to the public. To proceed on a basis of "ban everything until proven to be benign" is the worst kind of nannying.

You may call people "Ignorant" about this situation, Bob, but I feel that our ignorance is better than your "Subservient" attitude. Please stop insulting us.
