Guys and Girls....As one of our nations great leaders once said "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself".There is alot of fear going around here, just based on one staement! The name calling and bickering will not solve anything.Let's just take things in stride, one day at a time. I was smoke free(after 30 years of smoking)for 1 month before discovering e-ciggs,and would now miss it if it was taken from me.But my life would go on,just as it did before.I sure the same could be said for all of us here! I usually stay away from these threads, prefer the happier ones, but thought I would add my 2 cents! The Wiz!

Why hasn't the FDA banned analog cigs with their 4,000+ chemicals plus nicotine plus carbon monoxide? Not saying they SHOULD ban analogs (unless they want half the country rioting), just wondering how can they allow analogs but not allow what *SEEMS* to be a much safer and healthier alternative?!
The FDA has tried, repeatedly. Congress and the Supreme Court won't let them. Something to do with "truckloads of tax revenue" (my own quote).

The FDA knows that nobody will slap their wrists if they come down hard on electronic cigarettes. BUT - we shall see how successful they are when they try to stop mere batteries & chargers and atomizers.

I have some miniature tobacco plants started already. Going to replace all my houseplants. Wow they grow *fast*. As long as Congress has my back, these hardy sources of nicotine will be free as a bird.

Now we just have to find the best path for the nicotine from the leaf into the bottle. I think using fresh tobacco may work better then using chemically processed store tobacco, since a few have had good experiences using fine Cigars...

I thought I would have months and months to think about what I might say to my congresspeople, but _maybe_ now I do not.

_Maybe_ I might need to send one earlier.

I do know that if I was a congressperson and saw letters come in with some of the phrases I have seen here on this board, they would go right in the round file. Any letter containing the words "juice", "vape", etc would be instantly roundfiled if not escalated to security. (Especially if a sample was provided..heheh)

Has anyone stopped to think that their letters might have gone more harm than good?

This is kind of what I said earlier. Do we jump on this or lay low? Seriously, I have no idea what is best.

If the FDA forces me to go back to analogs, I am suing them.

Each vaper needs to start thinking of ways to "Supply Ourselves". We need to start thinking about refurbishing or making our own gear, as well as learning how to make our own liquid. Hording will work for some for a little while, but eventually that will be gone too. God only knows how long this will last. We need to start preparing now.

All special interest groups have their own jargon. Any congressperson would know that. If said congressperson were to "roundfile" any jargon he disliked he would rightly be regarded as an idiot by his colleagues. There is no secret argot here - e-cig enthusiasts are open about their wholly legal interests.

Well, I would say that the FDA has made up their mind already and we are definitely on their radar now. So 'laying low' isn't an option anymore methinks.

I say we write letters. What could it possibly hurt now? DO NOT use slang when writing letters or talking to the press. I cannot repeat that last sentence enough...

I completely disagree. When inner-city minority youth advocates write the power that be, do they say "Youz gonna fizzup deez B-bal courts or what holmes?"

    This is a good summary - http://www.ehow.com/how_4561907_of-u...f-america.html

Use proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling. You want your message to be understood, and taken seriously. Never, ever threaten or harass in your letter. It is ok to express your opinion such as saying that you are upset or angry about a situation. It is NEVER acceptable to use threatening or harassing language. Do not use profanity.

For all of us 'addicts'...... e-cigarettes are our one chance of not ending up dying from all the nasty fatal diseases that smoking tobacco causes ....I say that 'anyone' who wants to take that away from us is Evil.
