    Default Cleaning Vision Ego clearomizers

I just sucessfully cleaned one of my ego clearomizers and here's how i did it....

    1) Unscrew and take off driptip...get your sink water running hot

    2) Fill up Ego clearo tank with hot water....cover both ends with your fingers on one hand and shake it up real good...when you empty it the water likes to stay inside so flick your wrist and shake the water out.

    3) After repeating step 2 a few times you have to dry it out...best way to do this is a hairdryer...put the ego clearo into a cup or anything that will hold it for you and hit it with the hairdyer on hot setting for a bit...you'll notice condensation on the inner part of the tank...It took longer than I expected to get that all to disappear but eventually it will all evaporate. If you don't have a hairdryer I would say letting it just sit will eventually dry it or maybe you can find some other way to get it dried out...idk..but a hairdyer would be best and has come in handy for me cleaning many atty/cartos.

    4) Put it onto a battery and hit the button..youll notice it starts cracklin a bit and smoking..hold the button for a few seconds in spurts..5 seconds on..5 seconds off..after doing this a few times let it cool for 15-20 seconds and do it again until it stops producing as much smoke and you can see the coils get orange through the hole in the center. Do not hold it for longer than 10 seconds id say or you risk popping your coil..This step is done when you can hit the button for 2 or 3 seconds and see the coil getting orange and not producing a bunch of smoke.

    5) Fill up the Ego Clearomizer and give it a minute to wick.....Vape and enjoy

I just put the mouthpiece back on after flushing it with hot water, blow out the water in the tube and off the coil, dry off the battery end, then dry burn. Wicks are so short I don't see a need to dry it.

agreed...you can dry them this way...although doing so you dont start really cleaning your coil until your wick dries...notice it not getting orange and burning off the buildup..I just like everything dry when it comes to batteries and circuitry...but yes..you can dry them with same method

This may be a stupid question, but I have the eGo f-1 clearomizers & they are sealed by a silicone seal at the top just above the ceramic & coil. I can't figure out how to remove them w/o ripping them up. So how can I make this method work on them.

Yes, I have new spares but I hate to throw away something that can be cleaned.

    Thanks!

yes countsmackula, If you can get that seal out so that you can get water in there...or take the unit apart some other way. Ive never used an F1 but this method is a basic way to clean gunked up coils...If it was easier to take apart the vision egos I would just run the coil and wicks under hot water...since its a sealed up unit i just fill it up with hot water and shake it up. The dry burning to burn off the buildup is universal though.

When you fill it with water under the tap do you still have to be careful not to get water into that middle spikey bit? (is that the atomizer??)

    Cheers

You want water to get in there..in fact i usually fill the bottom bit with a little water and blow it through the center repeatedly
