Haven't I hit 15 uses yet???? Why 15?? Why should it matter how many times I've posted if I want that as part of my personal profile?? Very annoying. It seems really easy to get lost in this forum especially if you try to remember where you put your last comment, and it's difficult to backward navigate especially if you edit your own profile. There seems to be no "main" or "home" tab that I can figure out. I'm pretty techy, but I feel like I'm stumbling around in here. It's annoying to type a really long reply or comment about a service or product then get a "temporarily not available" error when trying to submit and losing everything that you just typed (that's happend 3 times to me today already), or get a message that you aren't authorized to reply or you aren't allowed to post here, etc. Tell me that before I spend 20 minutes typing! I also see that the forum also suffers from a common thing that many other forums have - really bad headers on individual comments so you have no idea what the comment or question is about without reading it. Hey other users: headers like "help me please!" are really ineffective especially in a list of hundreds of posts! Try something more descriptive like "need help repairing xxx " to give other users some type of hint what the post is about when scanning down a list of hundreds of posts. It would also be nice to have a list of e-cig slang somewhere for those of us that are new or just aren't that "cool" It took me a while to figure out some of the slang. I also have noticed some threads in what I would consider the wrong place, but there is no really right place that I can see and no one seems to have permission to creat a new thread.... I would like to post my experience using a vendor from China (it was a good experience) but the vendor isn't in the vendor list and there doesn't seem to be any other place to put the info and I'm not authorized to create new thread. Sigh. I would like to see a place for nothing but comments and tips on cleaning atomizers by type, but again I can't start a new thread so I've been trying to dig through lots of usage tips that end up being about things that I'm not interested in (the old relevent header comments mentioned above really would help here). The search option seems to be useless. I hope that these comments are taken as something good to consider for whatever powers that be and not as flaming. I love the forum and want it to get better and better and I figured that if I'm having this much trouble (as a techy) then some users must REALLY be having a hard time figuring this out! Crap!! I just got "you do not have permission to perform this action. Please refresh the page and login before trying again" when I hit "submit reply". I AM logged in. VERY FRUSTRATING!!! This time I'm copy this so I can paste if I have to start over again, which I DID!!!
Hi,
I am new here also. You need to post several times first cause that proves you are really interested and not just coming in to plaster ads and links. That happens so that's why.
I lose what I type also if I dont check the box that says remember me when I first sign in. I did it today. YOu just gotta remember to check that little box.
The forum is divided into types of threads and you have to learn your way around. I still don't know how to do a lot here.
It took me a month to figure out how to start a new thread and when I did I entired it under newbies which was the wrong thread but the mods fixed it for me.
It's best to ask just a couple questions at a time if you want a lot of people to answer. (from what I noticed)
If you ask 20 things it's just too time consuming for a lot of people that would otherwise take a minute to answer one of two.
Style of the way new threads are started is really an individual thing.
Hope this helps. Deb

PS
To give a review or find other threads about fixing, repair, etc. go to this page cause it has the big list. There is also a live chat towards the bottom of that page.

I found a list of the meanings of different terms thanks to a post from "Imsewsure"

I'm fairly new to e-cigarettes and this forum but not to message boards in general. I have found on other message boards that there is some sort of thread that contains abbreviations and their meanings. I was not able to find one here so I decided to start one and hope everyone will add to it anything I have missed and, of course, correct any of my errors. Vapor 4 Life has a mint that I think is very strong. They also sell it in 0 nic. Too much mint for me, so you might like it. They have 5 ml samples for $3.50. I did like their other flavors I tried, pear and almond, and shipping was completed the same day.

Hey I'm a new around here and I would like to say that this is a great site! I have been reading for about 1 1/2 months in order to make sure that I'm not making a mistake with something that is going to be a long term thing. Better to test the waters and go in feet first than dive right in, right?

Well, I figured that it was time for me to make myself known and begin contributing towards the forum because well, whats the use of being around and not putting in anything and gaining such a high return from this forum.

Again, thanks for creating such a place, If it wasn't here now, I would have probably tried to do it myself, but I don't think it would have turned out nearly as polished as this forum has.

Great job

I have just started ... have been smokin for over 25 years and tried everything on the market to quit... I really hope that this really takes and does me right. I researched for quite a while and settled on the screwdriver.. now, I am experimenting around with some different juice to find what I like. I would like to say that this forum is a very big help .. to see what others are doing and be able to ask advice and actually discuss different possibilities is a big help. I would like to personally the founder of this forum and all the users who try their best to help folks get aquainted in something that is a lot healthier alternative than smoking.

Thumbs up New to the Game.. Vap-escape

Hello all,
I have been a smoker for the better part of 25 years and marlboros have been my brand. I have tried numerous times to quit using the patch and zyban and gum and so on. Nothing helped, so I quit quitting.I have just recently started vaping.. I did my research and decided on the screwdriver. I have had it since the beginning of the week and I must say, I think I am on the right track. I want to try some different types of juice but don't want to go haywire!!! not yet, anyway.
I really appreciate all the help that I have received from the users on this site and give big thanks to the founder. I haven't touched a cigarette in four days and am not as groughy, as I usually get away from cigs with any other means to quit. Thats a lot better than I can say for many years now and I owe a lot to running across this site and finding out what an e-cigarette is.
Anyway, I find this to be and hope this is a healthier alternative overall. I am not sure what the FDA is up to but rest assured, I feel that they are threatened by a product that will eventually shuffle to many dollars out of the usually u.s. market. Anyone with common sense can see that all the toxins in tobacco cigs( at least 700+) reduced to a fraction of a percent is more healthy than the real thing. I.E. - vaping should be considered the new real thing.
Sincerely,
TM
