I am new here also. You need to post several times first cause that proves you are really interested and not just coming in to plaster ads and links. That happens so that's why. I lose what I type also if I dont check the box that says remember me when I first sign in. I did it today. YOu just gotta remember to check that little box. The forum is divided into types of threads and you have to learn your way around. I still don't know how to do a lot here. It took me a month to figure out how to start a new thread and when I did I entired it under newbies which was the wrong thread but the mods fixed it for me. It's best to ask just a couple questions at a time if you want a lot of people to answer. (from what I noticed) If you ask 20 things it's just too time consuming for a lot of people that would otherwise take a minute to answer one of two. Style of the way new threads are started is really an individual thing. Hope this helps. Deb PS To give a review or find other threads about fixing, repair, etc. go to this page cause it has the big list. There is also a live chat towards the bottom of that page. e-cigarette-forum.com • The place for electronic cigarette reviews, news and chat For reviews go to Electronic Cigarette Reviews - e-cigarette-forum.com • The place for electronic cigarette reviews, news and chat search for the model you have and add it to the thread that matches your model or click open on the right where it says FORUM TOOLS And select STart new thread. Hope that helps....Deb I'm not a moderator but I can draw one and pretend to be ![]() I found a list of the meanings of different terms thanks to a post from "Imsewsure" ECF Abbreviations 101 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm fairly new to e-cigarettes and this forum but not to message boards in general. I have found on other message boards that there is some sort of thread that contains abbreviations and their meanings. I was not able to find one here so I decided to start one and hope everyone will add to it anything I have missed and, of course, correct any of my errors. (I am starting off with the 2 abbreviations that I used in my title=) General ECF - E-Cigarette-Forum Noob - Beginner OP - Original Post(er) Analog - Regular Cigarette Mod - Homemade device/Moderator. Pull - The act of sucking on the mouthpiece to pull the vapor into your mouth TH - Throat Hit (The tingling sensation in the back of your throat) Vapor - the "smoke" emitted from an e-cigarette Vape, Vaping - The use of an e-cigarette (similar to the term "smoking" when referring to an analog) Topping off - Adding drops of e-liquid to your current cartridge. Dripping - Vaping by adding a few drops of e-liquid directly on the atomizer instead of using a cartridge. Dipping - Sticking the bridge of the atomizer in e-liquid. E-Cigarette E-cig or E-cigarette - Electronic Cigarette PV - Personal Vaporizer Atty - Atomizer Cart - Cartridge Bat - Battery Filler - The fiber found inside your cartridge that holds your e-liquid PCC - Personal Charging Case SD - ScrewDriver JS - Janty Stick PT - Passthrough or passthrough battery 2-piece/Disposable - 2 part e-cigarette. The Battery and a "cartomizer". Cartomizer - An atomizer built into the cartridge, marketed as disposable (you throw it away when the e-liquid is used up). 3-piece - 3 part e-cigarette. Battery, Atomizer, and Cartridge. Cutoff - Refers to how long the battery will activate the atomizer before shutting down (safety measure to protect the atomizer). Hey I'm a new around here and I would like to say that this is a great site! I have been reading for about 1 1/2 months in order to make sure that I'm not making a mistake with something that is going to be a long term thing. Better to test the waters and go in feet first than dive right in, right? Well, I figured that it was time for me to make myself known and begin contributing towards the forum because well, whats the use of being around and not putting in anything and gaining such a high return from this forum. Again, thanks for creating such a place, If it wasn't here now, I would have probably tried to do it myself, but I don't think it would have turned out nearly as polished as this forum has. Great job |

I have just started ... have been smokin for over 25 years and tried everything on the market to quit... I really hope that this really takes and does me right. I researched for quite a while and settled on the screwdriver.. now, I am experimenting around with some different juice to find what I like. I would like to say that this forum is a very big help .. to see what others are doing and be able to ask advice and actually discuss different possibilities is a big help. I would like to personally the founder of this forum and all the users who try their best to help folks get aquainted in something that is a lot healthier alternative than smoking.

Hello all, I have been a smoker for the better part of 25 years and marlboros have been my brand. I have tried numerous times to quit using the patch and zyban and gum and so on. Nothing helped, so I quit quitting.I have just recently started vaping.. I did my research and decided on the screwdriver. I have had it since the beginning of the week and I must say, I think I am on the right track. I want to try some different types of juice but don't want to go haywire!!! not yet, anyway. I really appreciate all the help that I have received from the users on this site and give big thanks to the founder. I haven't touched a cigarette in four days and am not as groughy, as I usually get away from cigs with any other means to quit. Thats a lot better than I can say for many years now and I owe a lot to running across this site and finding out what an e-cigarette is. Anyway, I find this to be and hope this is a healthier alternative overall. I am not sure what the FDA is up to but rest assured, I feel that they are threatened by a product that will eventually shuffle to many dollars out of the usually u.s. market. Anyone with common sense can see that all the toxins in tobacco cigs( at least 700+) reduced to a fraction of a percent is more healthy than the real thing. I.E. - vaping should be considered the new real thing. Sincerely, TM |
