My football hero has just been found shot to death! I am heartbroken! This man was a hero in every sense of the word and will be deeply missed. Ex-NFL QB McNair found shot to death in condo - FOX Sports on MSN

IMO The guy sucked as a player but was a upstanding guy. If this is true it is a sad day for the NFL!

I, too, am saddened by this news. It truly is a sad day for Titans fans, the NFL and football fans everywhere.

As more details come out, it sounds like the female found with him shot him several times and then committed suicide.

Steve McNair was a great player and a warrior of a quarterback. Anyone who says different doesn't have a clue what they are talking about. God Bless his family. It's a sad day.

Thanks mamacat and others! You are exactly right Curtis. He was a warrior on the feild and a hero off the feild. He's done so much to help so many that never made the news. I've seen him play when others would have been in the hospital. Bandaged so much he looked like the Michelin man. When Katrina hit, he gathered funds and supplies in the parking lot at LP feild ro send to help. He always took time to autograph or take a pic with fans. He held a football camp for kids every spring. (Just finished last month) He will always be MVP in my eyes and heart. I am deeply saddened. He will be missed! Please keep his family in your prayers. Thanks
