Default I miss Texas :(

Its been almost 4 years since I moved from Dallas, and when I see all you Texas Vapers on here it just makes me sad. All you Texas folk don't know how lucky you are, I'd give an arm and a leg to be back there right now.

Interesting. Everyone I've ever known who lived in Texas wanted to get out and get as far away as possible.

You have no idea how much I hated the place when I actually lived there but you don't know what you have till it's gone I suppose.

Well my dad was running a business in Dallas, he had one of those big supermarkets and it went under (when his business partners decided to steal from him and move to Australia) he lost 4 mil USD over night. So that had to force my dad out of retirement (he's a captain) so he decided to move the family to Singapore, but I just wasn't ready to make a move like that. I was there on the dad's business visa, so well I got that converted over to a student visa and everything was going great, till I found out the girl I was with for 3 years (my main reason for wanting to stay there) was cheating on me pretty much the whole time and had got herself pregnant by some dude. I was young and heartbroken so I just decided to move, and somehow I ended up in Ireland and I'm currently going to college here, just finished my bachelors and about to start my masters.

OMG I'm so there. I moved from Dallas to Washington in 1999 to get married and thought I would enjoy milder summers. My entire (huge) family lives in Texas. My husbands family consists of his mother and a brother/sister-in-law. I've been homesick for the last 10 years. I dream of the day when I (we) can move to Texas. *sigh*

My mother-in-law thinks I harp about how great Texas is all the time. What can I say? IMHO It's the best state to live in!

You all just made me think of this song so I thought I'd post it here.
