"PelosiCare" was Unveiled today you can read the bill here

Its a long read 1990 pages

If you don't like it let your congressmen know how you feel about it

If you think is great don't do a thing

We should all take the time and read as much as we can to know what were are getting ourselves into

You can download the PDF File from the site

Pelosicare / Obamacare / Healthcare

I don't have to read it, I"m already all for it. Why? Because something is better then nothing. And nothing is what I have right now

My congressman has already been notified. As far as reading the legislation is concerned, I seriously doubt anyone in congress, Pelosi included, knows what all is in there. Lisa, most people who have read the proposal generally aren't opposed the the idea, cost, yes. The greatest overall concern is where this bill will lead in the future. From beginning to end it is one big loophole and WILL be interpreted as lawmakers and lobbyists desire on a whim. If the powers that be can take the Constitution, plainly written, and interpret it with bias and deem what is relevant or not, this bill will be an open ticket. The healthcare debate is long and complex and this forum doesn't have the space to debate it. Change IS needed, but, also remember that healthcare was not out of control until the Federal Government stepped in many years ago.

That's just awful and wrong. I can sympathize with you 100%. I have a heart condition and I"m not insurable at any cost from most insurance companies, and others want a fortune to insure me without covering my pre-existing condition.

When you're in this position, you just live day to day. It sucks and people with insurance have no idea what it's like.

and it's all downhill from here. I am 31 years old and have a 6 figure medical debt. Can you imagine where I will be when I am 40? 50? before e-cigs hit and I got this job I was considering chantix. Since i have no primary caregiver and no doctors office will touch me without paying up front a month worth of chantix was gonna cost me 600 bucks! A steep price to pay to be driven to suicide.

I am the manager of a successful business. I shouldnt have to be afraid to open a checking account. But I am. So I hide my money. " Stuffing it into the mattress" so to speak. Now call me cynical but I have completely lost faith in my government. When obamacare or pelosi care or whatever care you want to call it comes out I am sure I will get that old familiar exclusion. sorry sir but you work for a living so this is not available to you. I invite the feds to prove me wrong.

I"m a small business owner too, I'm in the same boat with you. The only difference is that I haven't had a medical emergency yet, but with an irregular heart beat and sleep apnea, it's just a matter of time. I"m like a walking ticking time bomb.

Sometimes I think that if I have a really serious medical emergency, or should I say when I have one, it might be better if I die quickly instead of racking up a huge bill that I'll never be able to pay or they could take our home away from us........and leave my husband out to dry in his golden years.

Yea but wait till you have Obamacare and they tell you you are number 9,897,876,345,590 on the waiting list and they'll get to you when your number is up in 17 years.

I firmly agree and these are the some of the things that need changed, but will they? Am I willing to give up smoking, drinking, having too much sex, driving too fast, picking my nose with dirty fingernails...vaping to get that coverage? Even the government will have stipulations, if not in the beginning, on down the line. Also, why will I be forced to have insurance? Isn't this a free country? What if I don't feed my children according to FDA guidlines? Will they take my kids from me? Just how many of my personal freedoms will be taken away in the name of compliance? When will the day come that an overweight person suffering from a heartattack is denied treatment or a liver transplant patient is taken off the list under a government policy that lists these disorders as being from self abuse? People say that won't happen, but what if it does. As I recall our fearless leaders have a long history of changing rules and breaking promises. I want change. I do think our government needs to do some regulation on behave of the people they're elected to represent. The reason that hasn't happened is the amount of $$$ flowing from Big Pharma. That isn't going to change no matter what kind of "public option" they pass. I do want change, but not like this.

Before this turns into another Us vs Them thread, is there any place that provides information on bills such as this in plain language? I had a headache after going through the index.

An unbiased interpretation would be nice...
