Maybe sports should be outlawed too, a lot of kids get hurt playing sports, I mean if we are going to start outlawing things that may hurt us. The guy in the video is right, and I am getting sick and tired of my rights being trampled on, to protect somebodies kid from things they shouldn't be doing.

Personally, I think it is time we start taxing political campaign contributions at the same rate they tax everybody else. The politicians are always looking for new stuff to tax, but they never look at their own benefits.

I am so sick and tired of the Government taking away my freedoms and liberties.
The day will soon come that they take away enough of our freedoms and the people will get sick of it and take away their jobs.

The only way I can truly describe just how much I agree with this guy is to refer to the post I made last night (post #136) under "U.S.A Pact Act 2009"! I'll just leave it at that!

I'm going to be re-reading that post lol

Yea this guy was great, I thought of everyone on here when I watched it so I posted it here.

I still wish that a bunch of people just stand outside of the FDA building like the anti-tobacco people did with the big tobacco and hold up signs about how e-cigs have helped us.

Well, I don't intend to fire up a general controversy about this issue and Obama's signing apparently unpopular bill after unpopular bill. Although I'm a neutral outsider and just an occasional visitor to the US I dare to say that it really seems like he's sitting in between the chairs as for a lot of current issues, not to say he's a puppet of lobbyists on one hand and perhaps of many of his fellow congressmen on the other. Let's not forget that Obama's a smoker himself. I bet a lot of politicians, if not most, are fierce anti-smokers.

There are groups out there that think this is still a half-arsed bill and basically is a lame compromise to the tobacco industry to keep doing what they do best: make cigarettes. I bet those groups are the vast majority.

I'm actually surprised that this didn't go further, catering more to the anti-smoking lobby by for instance limiting the sales of tobacco products to special stores and banning them off petrol stations, grocery stores etc.

Anyway, I'm just saying that this decision is still fairly mild. Perhaps it's easy for me to say as those flavoured tobacco products are very very marginal over here in Europe as most smokers prefer their cigarettes to taste like cigarettes, errr... more or less like tobacco

This guy is my hero, and also when I was in high school I smoked cloves. I got made fun of for smoking cloves. Teens are NOT interested in smoking flavors, this is such a true point he brought up.

On the bright side, if it wasn't for the ban I wouldn't have looked into buying an e-cigarette (and give up the nasty habit once and for all)

My local smoke shop carried imported vanilla cigarettes. There were a couple of other flavors but I can't remember what they were. They were expensive, $7.50 per pack (well, expensive for this area...regular brands are $6.00).

Ah the good ol government the only thing we can trust them to do is anything that makes them more money. This is no longer a country by the people and for the people. It is a country by the mighty dollar and for the corporation.

the flavored juice. that would be easy if they ban flavored juice. just buy unflavored and get lorranns and make flavor yourself. Im not worried about that.

now back to politics.

the people are starting to open their eyes. as the younger "more politically active" and i dont mean the older people are not politically active. but the younger people are starting to gain numbers and with new bands out that are very political the light has been shinned and aimed right into the dark closets of the corrupt government. Now I have not participated in voting any government official into office just on bills. before you start tearing me down I cannot vote to put someone in office that I know will not do a good job. The only way I will ever vote to put someone in office is if I know they will actually do what they are supposed to do. Like I said I do vote on bills, but I also make sure to read as much about it so I can make an educated desision.

It's a foot in the door to ban e-cigs.
We had a store here that sold lots of flavored cigarettes (cigarettes, not cigars) Vanilla, banana, toffee, caramel, cherry, and pot flavored are just a few. they were imported cigarettes like someone posted above. They sold them by the pack, or for 25 - 50 cents per analog so you could test out several flavors.
