Vaporguys is out of stock right now.

The holes in your new passthrough look like mine. My batts are the same as the passthrough. Keep in mind that the battery is activated through the center hole. That's where the vacuum switch is. If I suck on the passthrough without the cart, it's harder to activate than my others. That's why I'm leaning toward a stiff vacuum switch. I've had batteries with hard draw, and within a week or so of steady use, they got easier to draw on.

As far as looks go. Try a small piece of contact paper. It's vinyl, so the juice won't bother it. Pick a pattern, cut a small piece, and if you're very careful, you can cover your battery with any color or pattern. I'm thinking woodgrain for two of my 4081 white batteries. If you get the seam straight, and use a good razor knife, you'll be surprised at the results. And you can change it whenever you want.

You can also check out the craft store. A million possibilities for battery changes.

Edit; Your tape job looks exactly like my silicone job.

OK... I think maybe you have the DSE401 batteries then.. the m401(SMOORE) is activated by a mic instead of the vacuum. Someone on the forum took apart an m401 battery.. They have an extremely easy draw, but are also very sensitive to sound and wind. The DSE uses a negative pressure vacuum and are good for going to places like concerts and vaping wilst driving with the windows down. I want to get hold of a couple of those batteries as wel.. But once the jantyStick(manual version) comes out with a 401 adapter, all will be perfect! I asked Kao about his DSE batts:

I do notice a slightly harder draw when I use the DSE401 battery with my M40x atomizer. I rarely use the DSE401 batteries, I only use them when I go out to a club.
I'll keep using the passthrough and see if it "softens up" like your batteries

OK... done hijacking the purpose of this thread now! Thanks!

p.s.. If my tape job looks like your silicone job, then I'm on the right track!

I gave my sound activated batts to my brother-in-law. I found them "self vaping" from the whine of the jet engines on my last trip. Not good.

freya - it appears the new DSE401 Passthroughs are mic'd now too. Adam sent me some and they're a completely different beast then the ones I had before. They're easy to see because the wire's thinner, and they behave JUST LIKE M series - yelling at them triggers the battery. I'm much happier, as I burned through two old-style passthroughs due to switch issues.

Nice list, thanks for a place to keep it together.
Might add the Intellicig EVOlution: www.intellicig.com UK
EVOlution starter kit (1x atomizer, 2x batteries, USB charger, 5x carts) 29£
    spare atomizer 8£, spare battery 9£, filled carts for 6£ (10x), 14£ (25x), 50£ (100x)

I have personally bought 401s from Intellicig and from Ruyandirect. Can only say the best about both companies. In addition, recognized that there is also www.vaporsdelight.com , selling standard EVO kits for $50 in the US. Don’t know anything about the latter company, though.

Adding some suppliers of interest for continental Europe. As pointed out by asdrubale, the M401 is also sold by Litecig.com (NL) and Partysmoker.nl (NL); Partymoker’s program is also available at Partynebula.de (GER).

Litecig.com has presently M-401 and M-402 starter kits (2 batts, 1 atomizer, 5 carts, charger) for 35 EUR. Extra battery for 10 EUR, 5 pre-filled carts for 3 EUR, but apparently does not sell atomizers.

Partysmoker.nl has “RPS Mini” starter kits (= M401; 1 batt, 1 atomizer, 5 carts, mains charger, additional charger cable) for 60 EUR. All parts come with an extended two year warranty. Battery for 12.50 EUR, atomizer for 10 EUR, 5 pre-filled carts for 3 EUR.
