I sure don't want to put anyone off the Evo because there is hardly any one else that's had any real trouble with it.
Why not send John an email with the words "Faulty Parts" in the subject line? I'm sure he'll help you out - he's a very nice bloke.

I think there has been some confusion between the (now defunct) US Intellicigs and the UK Intellicig service.

For me, UK Intellicig has been great. They were out of stock for a few weeks, I sent emails enquiring and received a reply fairly promptly. When the goods were finally back in stock I ordered, asked a question about delivery (Which was answered in good time), and received through the post about three days later.

    First Week Update:

The Evo is still going strong. I have noticed some differences between the regular white Evo and my black one though, namely the atomisers.

My colleague's white Evo produces slightly more vapour than mine. I took out both the atomisers and had a close look at them. The black atomiser has a small bridge of plastic under the metal mesh wick, it effectively sits ontop of the atomiser, dividing it in two. Whereas the white atomiser was simply the heating element sat in the recess below the metal mesh wick. Could this be a slightly modified design to extend the life of the atomisers? Not that im complaining, mine produces more than enough vapour. My colleagues looks like he is performing a rain-dance however!

The battery life has been excellent. Continued cycling use has show that the batteries are effective at heating the atomiser up until the last 10 puffs or so. Im getting about 5-6 hours per battery, smoking regularly.

If anyone has any more information on the 'plastic bridge' thing inside the atomiser, id be interested to hear.

I would like to know this, too. Although it's likely before i get enough money to decide on getting an EVO Puresmoker will have come out with something else I can use in the car

Good to hear about the Black Evo as I have one on order and it just has to be better than this rather pathetic Gamucci I have now.

I bought 2 evo started kits each with the extra battery, (1 long, 1 short), also I bought 2 because one was for a friend thats a heavy smoker but wanted to try the ecig.

Honestly I think the evo is great, excellent performer and actually feels like a cigarette and has that professional good quality look about it.

But I too have had a few problems and so has my friend with hes evo, the longer life battery i got with the evo doesnt function correctly, it cuts out way too early, sometimes not starting at all. The short battery has had a few glitches where it sometimes doesnt switch on, sometimes it stays on after ive finished taking a drag which made the atomizer heat up wayyy too much (had to unscrew the battery)... i was driving home from work when this happened btw.

My friend has had similar experiences with the short battery where it sometimes doesnt function correctly, the longer battery has similar issues too where it would function sometimes and others not.

Yeah i have both kits white and the black, and i was also wondering what was up with the black atomizers.I mean dont get me wrong the black ones work fine but alittle better vapor from my white ones.I never even bothered to look at the differences, but yeah i can see the plastic...hmm interesting!!

You want vapor? Pick up a 401 atomizer from puresmoker...Try the brass ones.

    They're SICK.

as im sure most people know, i quite like the EVO. but i also really like the RN4081.......i think that e-cig is like marmite, you either love it or hate it! me, i love it......very consistant, easy to use, pretty good bttery life and very good vapour production.

i rated the EVO and the Npro RN4081 both the same score in my video review of them.
    im happy to use either!

pete, you really should have just sent john an email about your dodgy parts! he sends out replacements with no hassle. ive never even read a single post where someone has said otherwise.........i dont think he even asks for the faulty ones back!

i reckon you could still send him a message now and get it sorted...........no way should you have to keep buying parts if they were faulty.
