Well Said
Well said Kristin,
After smoking for 46 years I switched to the e-cig without a hitch. I notice huge diferences in my breathing, sense of smell, taste sensations, and all that stuff.
It is not mystifying so much as typical FDA bought and paid for behavior. If we listed the names of all the people killed by prescription drugs "approved" by this inane organization it would take years to read.
There is a term called "Iratrogenic Disease" meaning "Death or injury by medical practice" and the numbers annually, depending on the source approach 200,000 every year. A large part of that number is due to poly pharmacy. Approved drugs...hmmmm.
Save me from the FDA!

Dear Kirsten,
Thank you for writing this brilliant article. I didn't read all 20 pages of this thread, but I wonder whether you have e-mailed to all the members of Congress and the White House.
Your article is so interesting, they may even read it!

I have been smoking for 40 years, tried the gum, the patch, Welbutrin, Chantix to no avail. I have been vaping for 4 months no cigarettes for three months. I can smell taste and breathe again. I am sleeping better and have more energy. I need to be saved from the taste, smell and sleep by the FDA, I don't think so.
Great read thanks,

Excellent job! I haven't read all 20 pages of posts. Did you publish? Did it get sent to our government?
Thank you for taking the time to do this.

There is no way they can ever keep up, the world cannot be legislated into being safe.
List of recalls submitted to the FDA within the last 60 days:
www .fda.gov/oc/po/firmrecalls/archive.html (remove the space after www)
That used to be a 10 year list, they recently cut it to 60 days. Guess the long one was too scary.
Imagine how many defective things are not submitted for recall by their mfgrs.
And here is the list of FDA Enforcement Reports dating back to 2004:
www .fda.gov/opacom/Enforce.html
This one used to go back to 1990 but they recently changed that too. Hmm.

That. Is. Awesome.
That (OP) is perhaps the most cogent and articulate presentation i have seen
since e-cigs entered my field of awareness.
I was just about to post a complaint because i perceive
that the general posture of e-cig proponents is entirely too weak and defensive.
Whilst folks such as the Oregon Attorney General make absolute assertions
with no basis in critical reasoning or research,
(and in his case, unilaterally creating de facto law from thin air),
the ECA tippy-toes around asking rhetorical questions about a hypothetical device.
(Ref ECA website; "What If?" video)
I d*mn well purchased a smoking cessation device.
I do not smoke anymore nor will i be forced to do so
by willful ignorance and/or vested interests.
I'm afraid i'm not very savvy about the newfangled social tech,
don't know a twit from a bookface,
but i will certainly be using your materials in analog reality.
Thank you so much.
