That was a great video. 2 problems though
    From the video
Bullet point. Nicotine is not regulated by the FDA
Bullet point. Marketed as a Quit smoking device

These 2 things keep popping up and are providing a false statement to the industry.

Why does everyone disagree with the "quit smoking device" claims? Isn't that exactly what its done for tons of people on this forum?

Hi Merkel, most of us think vaping is a great way to quit smoking but for traders to say that with no scientific proof of effectiveness is unethical and illegal in most places. Making money from unproven claims can cause a lot of trouble with authorities for us.

Merkel--if you make a claim that it is the product will help you quit--that falls under FDA mandates and the product would be pulled outright as there are no valid studies or clinical trials to support the claim--Sun

From article: Addiction specialist Dr. Robert Anthenelli said, “Nicotine is not regulated by the FDA, it's one of those drugs that has forgone that kind of regulation, so a product like this does not have to go through FDA testing.”

It's my understanding that this is correct. The FDA does not, in-fact regulate Nicotine. They want to and the anti campaigns want them to, but every time a committee passes it, the legislation dies on the house floor. The pharmaceutical companies went that route, but that does not mean that our liquid has too.

UPDATE: Nope... sorry... I take that back... I have re-evaluated what I said here... here is a link to http://www.erowid.org/chemicals/nico...tine_law.shtml provided by Lithium on another thread. It is regulated. I am confusing nicotine for tobacco.

Wow! No wonder people get confused. It is confusing.

Vapor Guys site does not state that it's a "quit smoking device" but says it's an alternative to traditional cigarettes. So I think they're OK there.

VaporGuys are goodies as far as I know. It's the sharks who spin all sorts of claims about health, how long cartridges last, quit smoking effectiveness, etc that are the baddies.
