    I just saw on MSNBC on Dr. Nancy the FDA has conducted preliminary test on refill cartridges which they claim contains diethylene glycol which they say is a harmful ingredient. I think the test pertained only to prefilled cartridges and not e-liquid. I'm going to start looking for more info on this

    Not sure if anyone has posted this or not, but the FDA's website has this posted;

    FDA Seeks Public Input on Tobacco Regulation

    The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced today that it is seeking public input on the implementation of its historic new authority overseeing tobacco products in the United States. In a Federal Register notice, the agency invites the public to provide information and share views on a wide range of topics, from product content to advertising and marketing. All public comments will be posted online.

    Maybe we should all post our thoughts about our experience with e-cigarettes vs. actual cigarettes.

    From the FDA home page, select tobacco products, then the link to post comments.

    Just a thought

    I had no idea that all those changes took place and were for "homeland security".

    It is amazing big business has a fast track to use NAFTA to farm jobs out to Mexico but if you order something online you are responasbale for the duty, that they can not tell you how much will be, if the shipper fills out the forms wrong YOU can get fined, and if US customs drags there feet YOU get charged for storage while they decide what to do .

    All this talk of the world getting smaller and I bet it was easier to import items in 1800's than it is now.

    Sad. I miss my country a little more each day.

    I posted on the FDA input page...actually a couple of times LOL. I haven't seen them yet and they could take a couple of weeks for "review"...we'll see if they show up!

    This is my first post, but I think it's a very important one. The FDA is creating problems for e-cigarette users. This leads me to believe that this forum's future may be in jeopardy. If that's the case I, personally, would like to have access to news that forum users are disseminating, which could be a problem if the forum in shut down.
    I think there needs to be some means to remain in touch if my fears come to pass. I'm not sure how to go about this, but any and all suggestions should be considered.
    I'd gladly give my e-mail address to start a mailing list to keep members informed regarding news about e-cigarettes.
    Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Jude--There is no reason to think that this Fourm is going to shut down due to the FDA. The FDA can not shut it down and there is no intent by SJ to ever shut it down, so that fear is really unfounded.
