So when do we get 100/200/300 MG liquids? (since the absorbion rate is so low?)

I've seen people on these boards get freaked out about nicotine poisoning at the drop of a hat. I've seen old hands worry about spilling the juice on their hands. I've seen people talk about the dangers of overdose....

And now the new zealand study comes out, and shows that our E-cigs aren't even HALF as strong as a regular cigarette.

Now, I want a link to said study. I'm running on hearsay here, and my search for the study gave me a haystack of multipage threads.

But, if a 16mg or 18mg liquid, used for five minutes, produced 10% of the nicotine concentration in the blood that a regular cigarette produces, it is therefore logical that we should be using a 160 or 180mg liquid to produce the same effect as a regular cigarette.

THAT must be why we vape so much! BECUASE WE AREN'T GETTING MUCH NICOTINE! IF we got the same amount we get from a cigarette, we'd vape less! Our Batteries and atmoizers would see much much less use!

Gee.... TW's 36mg liquid doesn't seem so strong anymore does it? Infact, when we look at the Kiwi's math, it seems pretty danged weak. It might produce oh.... as much as 20% the effect of a real cigarette! The new 48MG mixing liquid might produce a whole third of a real cigarette! (And people were worried it might be vaped straight!)

OK, If my logic isn't working, go ahead and wack me for it. If I'm speaking in Ignorance and overlooking a key fact... wack me for that.

A few hits of 36 mg buzzes me out and makes my head spin. I can't compare that with a cigarette because I haven' smoked one in 13 years.

I do not worry about getting liquid on my hands or in my mouth, however. In fact, I just drained an atomizer into a vial and it missed leaving a nickel-sized puddle on the coffee table. Care to take a guess where that went? Mmmm, finger licking good!

I still smoke a pack a day, but vape when I am with my daughter. I vape medium strength (18 mg) and sometimes I get a headache because I use it like a pacifier, so I am not looking for anything stronger.

My guess is that if they did make stronger liquid, shortly after someone's dog, or worse their child, would end up sick or dead after getting hold of a cart and e-cigs in the US and other places would be outlawed instantly.

Eh, Eventually some ..... is going to OD drinking E-liquid. Hell, some guy was on TV recently for doing himself in trying to get drunk off gasoline.

Drinking it didn't kill him. It was when he threw up on his campfire.

Is there anyone on here who smoked at least a pack a day that has gotten a buzz of an e-cig after switching?

TW's 18mg kicks my ass. I get a strong buzz after a few draws on my 510.

There must be a difference in absorption of eliquid between different people. Before I started vaping a week ago, I was smoking anywhere from two to three packs of Newport full flavored and never got a nic buzz to the extent that just a few draws off of my PV gives me.

There are reason to think that the nic buzz will be faster with PG and slower with VG.

Someone else pointed out that there may be other chemicals in tobacco that drown out the 'hit' you get from pure nicotine, it could also be that vapers are in effect ex-smokers and every time they get close to a hit from a cigarette they get a buzz.

I find the whole thread insteresting I got a buzz (more headachy than anything) after chain vaping 24mg for like 4 hours...lol. Was a two pack a day Newport/Marlboro Methol Smooth 100 smoker. I think the difference is that the nic in an ecig doesn't reach max plasma levels as quickly as an analog.

That being said, going back to try an analog I almost got violently sick immediately.
