Thinking there should be more voters on this one... maybe not.
Nicotine patch
Nicotine gum
Nicotine lozenge
Nicotine nasal inhaler
Nicotine oral inhaler (prescription)
Chantix
Zyban
I've done 'em all except Zyban. And add Quest cigs and fake placebo cigs and hypnosis and $400 shots into my head at a Sarasota clinic. I stayed off for 43 days once with nicotine gum! Nothing worked until I made up my mind to quit prior to my employer going smokefree on the property. I suffered with Chantix, and added snus and pipe smoking. A few months later, I bought my first e-pipe. Then e-cigar. Then e-cigs. Not long ago, I started regular use of nasal snuff. I just use whatever the mood and moment dictate.
I have been e-smoking for 19 months and enjoy it very much, although I get very little nicotine "hit" from it. I'm fond of RY4 and Cappuccino flavors from Janty.
Happy fact: I am not dependent on the e-cig in public places. I sometimes use it publicly, but can use snus and snuff and be completely satisfied if it seems improper to whip out a vapor-producing device.
The only times I've quit smoking was "cold turkey" during my pregnancies.
Cold turkey worked the best for me. but in the end being around smokers got me everytime.
I used Zyban. It worked good for about a month. I stopped taking it because it made my cigarettes taste like s h i t.
