Look at the interest! Far out. I've smoked those, too, in bygone days. No nic, crappy taste and gunky tars for my lungs. That pretty well sums up how I feel about 'em.

A few years ago I quit smoking for three months cold turkey. I used the Ecstasy herbal cigs for the first week as sort of a placebo. If I absolutely felt the need to smoke something, I smoked those. They tasted nasty, and smelled worse. The very first one I smoked gave me a mild feeling of serenity (that might have been the kava kava & passionflower tincture I was using, though) but only the first one. After the first week was over I threw them away. They were just too gross. They may have helped me get through the first week, but I wouldn't recommend them. When I tried again a year later I tried the Honeybush Vanilla. They were even worse. I was not successful in quitting that time. I don't think it was related, though. |

I have tried them...They are AWFUL. The worst possible taste imaginable. Your still sucking tar into your lungs, not feeding any nicotine habit and who knows if they cause cancer or not. Personally I'll stick to my e-cigarette and an occasional pipe or hookah. If you want to try them go for it, but you could save some money and not. |

Phildo u dont want these. these are imitations of the street drug ecstacy, which first sold as herbal extacy (you know, passion flower, valerian root, kava kava etc.) then herbal excstacy smokes, now its tangled in with those herbal fake weeds you can get....

Sorry to dig up a dead thread. Once I bought these herbal cigs, and nic gum. To see what I was really addicted to. Yes they are gross. However I used the gum for 4 days. The herbal cigs for 3 months. No tobacco cigs that entire time. The Waxman bill pretty much nukes this option as well.

Around 2 years ago I bought a few different flavor packs of the herbal cigarettes to stop smoking analogs. Well I could not stand the taste of the herbal cigarettes. Wasted money is what I did.

Hi, first post (been lurking for a while though) Just thought I'd give my perspective on this. I managed to quit and stay quit for 3 years with these things, sure at first they taste horrible but you do get use to the taste after a couple of days and eventually they start to taste better than regular cigs. I probably smoked them for about 2 months whilst I overcame the nicotine addiction and then simply didn't need to smoke them anymore after that. My girlfriend also smoked them for a couple of weeks whilst she was quitting and they worked for her too. They helped with the really hard part at the beginning of the nicotine withdrawal process, well for me and my girlfriend at least, it was a comfort to be able to smoke something. I was smoking about 1 pack a day of silk cut and when i quit with the herbals was probably smoking about 2 packs (stressed obviously so needed more), but the weird thing was that my lungs cleared themselves of all the tar, my skin got clearer, my breathing improved dramatically and my sinusitis (sp?) cleared in a couple of days and this was all whilst i was smoking the herbals like a chimney so I am convinced they are not bad for you compared to regular cigs. I am planning to quit with the 510 this time though, gradually reducing my nicotine levels to zero. E-cigs hadn't been invented back then of course! But people shouldn't knock the herbal cigs in my opinion because they really do work from some people! If someone wants to explore it as a possible method of quitting then give it a go, it might just work for you! I am fairly confident that they have a better success rate than NRT! I don't think I have ever met a single person who has actually said that they managed to quit with patches or gum, not long-term anyway. |

Dont get the dreams. I tried those once. The rest ended up going to friends as a joke. And they did not appreciate the joke. They are horrible.
