Yeah, being in a fog summed it up for me. I was able to return to work but that was because it made me a damn zombie all the time. Didn't care about anything whatsoever (not even sex). Shouldn't of been on it in the first place. Doc refused to believe I had anything other than a bout of depression. When in turn I got a new doc and then was diagnosed with schizophrenia.

I was suffering from chronic anxiety brought about by major problems in my life. I went to the doctor for anxiety medication since I did not really feel depressed just chronically anxious. He insisted on the anti depressant instead....major mistake.

Wellbutrin made it easier for me to go without cigarettes. I quit smoking for 3 months while taking it with little to no side effects. I tried to use it to quit again, but it seems like it lost its effectiveness.

I was on wellbutrin for about 7 months, i hated it! evey time i saw my dr. she would ask if i had any rash's (wellbutrin has a fatal skin rash side effect) granted i was on it for it's main use of being a antidepressant but when i started noticing my hair falling out (literally) more and more by the week i stopped taking it and sure enough within 2 weeks of not taking it, my hair stopped becoming thinner. luckily i didnt go bald and lucky its growing back in.

P.S. I smoked the whole time i was on it. nothing changed, other then i started smoking more b.c of stress i was having about my hair. what would you expect from a 24 yr old girl?

Wellbutrin to stop smoking? Didn´t work for me AT ALL! I was on and off it due to depression, I took it for three months at a time and although it worked wonderfully at first, the effect wore off and I was left with everything but side effects. Vaping was far better, although at times during the day I´m a fog machine. One good side efect was high libido...

I eneded up in the Emergemcy Room getting steroids and antihistamines for the hives that covered my entire body and contricted my airways. They said it is a side effect of the drug that effects some users. I would tell anyone - do not take the stuff!!!!!

I took Wellbutrin SR for 3 days, in an attempt to quit smoking. The first day went OK, and I lost the desire to smoke, as advertised. The second day, though, I started feeling jumpy and irritable. I put this down to the stress of not smoking. On the 3rd day, I was feeling really out of my mind... I was shaking, paranoid, hyper manic and experienced basically a day long anxiety attack. I locked myself in my apartment and disconnected the phone. It took a couple days to get back to feeling normal. This was the worst medication experience of my life, bar none.

If you decide to try this medication, beware!

I liked it A LOT! I was happy and cheery the entire time I was taking it. No side effects other than the sensitivity to caffeine, THAT would not do at all.

I drank to much coffee and just about had heart failure and a stroke. Or at least felt like it, what was worse is that I was armed at the time and wearing a bulletproof vest. Talk about an added stress level.

I was insanely tense on it. My kids couldn't breathe without me growling at them. It was not a pleasant experience, and lasted all of one week. My oldest handed me a pack of cigarettes and asked me to smoke one and stop taking the pills.

I was on Zyban twice. The first time I almost quit using it because the advertised magic days were coming and going and I still wanted my smokes. As an antidepressant, heck, anything could go wrong and I simply didn't care. I had a hard time falling asleep, too. Then, about day 13 the urge simply vanished. It was great!

Several years later, I picked up on smoking again and told my doc about the first success. He prescribed Zyban and I began again. After about a week, I developed a bad case of edema. Swollen ankles, everything. Thought I'd become a congestive heart failure patient or something. The doc examined me and pronounced my heart to be fine but I did have fluid buildup in the lungs. He took me off the Zyban and the symptoms went away.
