    Default New Tropical Bob videos

Posted two more videos today in the Save on Tobacco series. These little things are fairly popular, and do not focus exclusively on e-cigs, but on all alternatives an ex-smoker can use to stay off the deadly weeds.

Another two great videos TBob, love the description of the inhaler but the face mask idea is just too nuts!

I'm very keen to try the snuff on a stick idea - I've just waiting for the Swiss Chocolate (and coffee bite) to arrive from Florida coincidentally.

You have given an idea for a vapourless e-cig since you've proven that the inhaling mechanism with just e-liquid works.

I imagine that the filler used inside the inhaler is just some kind of polyester fibre much like those you can buy for RYO cigarettes. I guess you could clear out the internals of a small model e-cig and plug one of these RYO filters saturated with e-liquid into the now empty e-cig tube thereby delivering nicotine in much the same way as the inhaler. Obviously all holes (except at the end) would need to be blocked to force the air through the RYO filter plug but it might just work.

Some folks have asked for a vapourless e-cig so this might work for them, can't we worse than either the Nicotrol inhaler or the Aero.

    Great fun

Think inhalators have a resin core that releases the nic. 'vapour' at a sort of controlled rate.

Nasal aqueous nicotine sprays irritate the nasal passage, and they do!,
I've always assumed the speed was cos the blood capilliaries in there are
very much closer to the surface than say in the mouth.
So would have thought mouth intake -> blood was very much slower than nasal.

Thinking outside the box there with the face mask - don't believe a word of it
(the nicotine particle inhalation bit I mean).

I'd have thought for speed of uptake it's all about getting as little glycol in
the spray solution as possible, reckon use say 72 or 100 mg/ml e-liquid diluted
in water/spray juice would give a better result (?).

Keep up the investigative juornalism TB, good stuff !

In both the mouth and nasal spray, I read as much as I could find about how much nicotine was there, then tried to duplicate that amount. The mouth spray might have pleased me more because the carrier was a taste I like, the grape flavor. The nasal spray just wanted to wash out my nose!

I do these extemporaneously and just talk, so I forget to say the mouth spray kills cravings for at least a half hour. I didn't exactly time it for awhile, just found I was able to work without using any nic device for at least a half hour. Same with the nasal spray, but it proved too painful to keep up.

The snuff-coated nicotine stick was interesting. Obviously, the snuff comes off the stick in a hurry -- and my stick is not yet saturated. So I was dipping new snuff about every five minutes (it's quite yummy with the three favorite flavors I used). Wow. I got a real buzz after about 20 minutes. I feared overdose symptoms, but cut it off in time (no stomach problems either).

It works! Grandma knew what she was doing -- and probably had a higher nicotine tolerance than I do.

The mask was meant as a fun video. I did indeed sit in the sun in my back yard while testing it. I have no curious neighbors, so no one called 9-1-1. I could feel the moisture from the e-liquid splot on a day with 30% relative humidity in the air and could smell the liquid.

No way to know how much nicotine I inhaled, and the nicotine is also escaping into the air IN FRONT of the mask. With Big Pharma's inhaler, they virtually trap the nicotine in the cartridge core. I'm not sure what that's made of. I did tear one up to see, but I didn't know, and didn't care. Refilling made a mess until I figured that the core should not be saturated. If it is, liquid runs right through the inhaler into a user's mouth. The core should be just dampened. I did so with 36mg e-liquid.

I'm about ready to do another video on the Make Your Own Snus bucket sold by Northerner. I've found good ways to flavor, and bad ways. Coming soon.

Excellent, I know that lots of us on the smokeless sub-forum are very much looking forward to hearing about your experiments with the snus bucket.

The more I think about refilling a dry inhaler core, the more I understand how close this is to vaping -- without visible vapor. The Nicotrol Inhaler works. It has been clinically proven to work. But, for many of us, it just doesn't have enough nicotine.

But what if we treat it just like dripping? We don't saturate the dry cart, we just drip two or three drops and then suck in the moist air. The liquid is evaporating and in that evaporate is useable nicotine. I'll try it with some 48mg liquid.

Small aside: I did use the inhaler in a doctor's waiting room. No problem, of course, since it's a prescription item. But no one would know that the nic inside was four times what the FDA approved.

Note to self: Try making something like a Vicks sinus inhaler, but use a nicotine-soaked core instead of that camphor-menthol stuff ...

Wow TB...I'm so glad that you're working for the right side here

    I'd be careful though....BT and BP....hope they aren't lurking.

p.s....I think that you should be a voice for baseball...your voice (minus the twang) reminds me of Harry Kallas.
