Is the diameter of a 306 different than the i06?

Yes and the i06 has a wider bridge and almost no wicking material in it.

I use mine Strpr till the performance slows, pitch e in a can and when it gets a bunch in the can I pour PGA in the can and give em a soak. then I pull them out and put them on a metal cookie tray standing up, turn the oven on and bake em dry on the lowest setting for about 20 min and all done !

I've always used ISO instead of PGA. Usually soak them overnight, blow them out the next day, and leave them under my desklamp for the rest of the day. I've only lost 1 atty in the last 4 months, and that was because it was one of the older ones and I put it on my Saber Touch and popped it. The rest are still working like new.

I got some oak. I didn't see any walnut and the cherry they had was just a tad too narrow. I also picked up one board of zebrawood to try.

I really like zebrawood, but I think my favorites are Mahogony and Purple Heart.
