I'm just going for support of my friend. Never really knew her dad, her parents divorced about the time we met and I adored her mom. I don't like funerals either.

willow - how is your friend feeling about it? I have been to a few where I didn't know the deceased well, but my friends did, and were pretty torn up. I felt so bad, and sort of helpless .....

We talked and spent some time together tonight when she got in and she had just gone to see her dad in March. She lives in Texas and he lived in Alabama. They had the service/viewing in AL yesterday and the funeral is here in our hometown today.
Bless her heart she looked so tired last night and she's not in good health herself. I know that she and her dad put away past hurts and made up several years ago, so I think she'll be ok. I know it's hard, been there done that, but life goes on.

Think I'm gonna go try to sleep a little, night all.
