    T - I am at the little point of the Hood Canal .... but ocean is about 150 miles away.
    When I was a kid, we would get trucks in the AMs that would bring live crabs, fresh fish, clam, scallops, etc around, and my mom would go to the curb and buy most days.
    Grew up on crabs salads, salmon and halibut. Now you need to mortgage your house to get good salmon.
    My dad says the Columbia River used to have so many salmon spawning, people would say they could walk across it on their backs..... I am sure that is a bit exaggerated. LOL

    My house is at the point of the hook under the "ON" in Bremerton .....

    I can remember my uncle bringing lobster home in a bucket of water kicking and screaming. My aunt boiled the water and we feasted!

    blu...i want salmon!!!! LOL
    been forever since ive had any. as a child growing up in michigan i had an uncle with a fishing charter boat and he would always have salmon at a certain time of year... other than that it was strictly walleye

    your so lucky, i love lobster but have only had it at red lobster. one day i will try some real fresh stuff
