Instead of doing this when something goes wrong I have learned to turn it around, make life beautiful, and look at it as an opportunity to do things better next time.

Sorry to get all philosophical on you! Just wanted to share.

I just wanted you to know I have copied this and emailed it to myself to hang on my computer at school. Things can get rough and tough at times and it will help me greatly to have this to read and catch a breath when I need to. Thanks Bert.

That was a beautiful hummingbird and I'm sorry it didn't make it. You are very wise for your young years to have taken the attitude that you have. ((((((((( Bert ))))))))

My fingers are doing better than say, 5 days ago...fortunately, I didn't fall through all the way =/ and I had some support there, waiting for just an accident like that to happen. No big deal, but! I will be outsourcing "building" a little more from now on.

    Custom? bring it ON!

Would you like to start with mine?

Again, thanks so much and sorry for all the frustration...

the truth is that in flameworking, our path of success is always paved with failures and frustrations that teach us how to succeed. I know! Bert will not let this setback hold him back from not just making what he attempted to make, but making it better.

Flameworking is the only craft that has brought me to my knee in anguish! I think that's why I happen to love it so much, the medium makes you work hard for its beauty to come out...it's awesome!

I know about that custom order, Blu. Bert's shared with me all the new Beta stage orders going on, I'm not making that one tho

Honestly, Saraphina...striving for excellence is worth sweating it out here and there. The only "PITA" (which took a second to "get" ) about doing the custom work was the actual "structuring" of the whole custom order process...it's smooth sailing now.

I've been doing custom work my entire adult life, from stained glass to jewelry to borosilicate (pyrex) glass. My last custom piece was a chandelier and pendant light "set" Manufactured from scratch! It took my expertise, my good friend's metal work expertise and my associate Leigh assisting me while I fabricated the glass on the torch. Over 150 hrs later, we had made this! happen
