Thanks, it's nice when someone understands what it is and it doesn't make me feel quite so old LOL

You wouldn't believe how many times people are like, what's that or what's an ED-209? LOL

I really appreciate your help and looking forward to the tank Now I just gotta get me one of those jig punching kits and I'll be good to go, or at least I think I will be.

Ed, The cartos are actually rather easy to punch. I use a jig made of wood to punch all of ours. I am working on getting a new video camera so we can make a video showing you guys who want to know how to do it. We are tossing around the idea of selling a jig to punch cartos.

Is there that big of a demand for it?

Not sure about the demand but I know only one other vendor sells them and I mentioned it and they decided to start making and selling them and so far they seem to be selling pretty good.

I am all about simplicity and consistency. I've punched a few but it's always a crap shoot, and making sure I don't hit the nail\screw too hard, too light, etc.

So again might not be too much of a demand but I know I would buy one

    Yes, I demand it! lol
Back to basics - a Twist and a T3. Tried lots and found perfection in simplicity.

I leave the rubber caps on so it doesn't slide and then use a deck screw to punch it. The deck screw is super sharp so it's way easy to punch and the threads stop it from going in too far. Makes a perfect hole every time.

Wow...I never thought of using a deck screw cub...makes perfect sense for a consistent depth. I will have to try it!
