Well, IMO Tooter should go with me and see all his friends at Wheaton Village Museum. he would have several friends there and all made of his same ethnicity..............GLASS! He would have an audience of folks clapping for him and he would feel so important and dapper. He would be swelled with pride and feel so important. He would have a fine cardstock caligraphy card with the name of his parent and creator and he would be so proud to show off his shiny shell and teach all the snooty glass collectors a better way to smoke! Oh, Tooter has a calling and it is in Millville with me!
Being nice doesn't cost a thing, being rude can cost you eternity and it does nothing but make you miserable. SMILE,it cures a lot!
Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.Margaret Mead
Okay, folks: here's the introduction to my story. And since he hasn't met anyone yet, I won't count it as an entry.
The Adventrues of Tooter the Turtle
Once upon a time, on an island far, far away, a very special turtle was born. Tooter, for that was his name, didn’t know that he was special; after all, he had just come out of his egg. Like all newborn turtles, he knew he had to reach the safety of the ocean, lest he be devoured by the evil birds and beasts that roamed the land. So he took off, running as fast as his four little legs would carry him, towards the pounding waves of the surf. However, as he ran, he was distracted by the most glorious sight: a beautiful glass ball, lying on the beach. Now remember I said Tooter was special? What made him special was that he was a curious turtle. Because of this, even though he knew the safety of the water was beckoning him. He stopped to examine the glass ball.
“That’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen!” he thought to himself. Now you might say that since he was newly born, that wasn’t saying much of import. However, he was right. That glass ball was beautiful; it had all the colors of the rainbow swirling through it and glowed with the most amazing magical light. Being the curious turtle he was, he moved closer and closer to the ball, never noticing the evil gull flying towards him, planning on making lunch of him. Just as the gull was about to reach him, he touched the cool, glass ball with his nose and POOF! He and the ball disappeared!
And so the adventure begins……..
Contest Post #1
Tooter decided to go visit Alcatraz. He was on the look out because he had heard of recent sightings of the rare Pacific Leatherback Sea Turtle. He didn't get a chance to see one, but had fun playing around on the island. Tooter swam back to San Francisco for the night, dreaming of the exciting adventures to come.
Finster the Frog and good 'ole Tooter the Turtle thank! you
