Find a leather star punch (that multi sized punch tool that can put more holes in your belt!)

I am using this on a screwdriver (901 cart). Set it up last night after trying the blue foam dart and using that all day. After a while with the BFD I started tasting something that wasn't my nic juice.

The VG juice I have is stupid thick. With this silicon plug, I have been on the same cart since last night. I must admit, it is vaping perfect. I had some flooding last night, and pulled the cart, the silicon had pushed aside instead of cupping like it had been. The silicon cup for my 901's are supe flimsy and making the plug was a pita. I used an X btw and again with thick vg it's working.

My wife is going grocery shopping. I asked her to pick me up some pyramid tea bags and silicon baby bottle nipples... Want to try to perfect this and get it working with thinner pg juice I have. Will end up trying both methods.

OK I have been looking around the house for other sources of silicon... Wii controller covers, my old iPhone silicon cases... were some of the first things I found. My wife said no way! IT has to be food grade silicon because we know its rated for high temps and won't have anything else in it. So she is buying me some silicon baby bottle nipples and cup cake pan liners.

I must admit, this is working really well so far on my xperiment cart. I finally finished my first cart. Used it an hour last night and 2 hours this morning of constant vaping. It finally went dry and I checked inside. There was some moisture, not much... I refilled with more VG and it took 8 drops. The straw takes up some room inside of an already fairly small cart (in comparison to the cavern of my 801s). No leaking and I can constantly hitting and the atty never gets hot for some reason, and it's like hitting an analog when I use VG.

Wife brought home some silicon cupcake molds in red & blue today from grocery shopping. I made a plug by cutting out the bottom round piece of the cupcake mold (I washed it first). Then I cut the bottom circle out of it. Then I took an empty cart and pressed real hard into the cupcake silicon to get a guide for cutting with my exacto knife. The empty carts that come with my 901 atty's have no shelf in them and the straws with the accordion in it to bend are the right size... the carts that came with poly in them have a shelf and I can use the same straws, but have to notch it to allow it to compress so it will drop down all the way. I cut it so it is about 1.5mm from the edge of the cart when inserted fully. I used an X cut in the silicon plug I cut and dropped it in after filling the cart with m/boro 24mg PG. It was easier to handle then the clear silicon I got from the cart covers, but not as flexible and thin. I got it to work.... but there is a trick. After setting the cart into the atty (looking to make sure it is aligned properly so the nic wick is meeting the plug correctly)... I pull it back out to check to see if I am getting any juice flow. I also set it so the battery side of the atty is down and let it sit for a while. Once it starts wicking, it keeps doing it. IF I pull the cart out before its empty I have to set it like this again if there is no juice to keep the wiking effect going. Otherwise its working fine and I am getting great hits off it.

The other 2 carts with silicon plugs I have been hitting on all day today. One with peach PG, the other with M/boro VG... still rocking and the VG is making insane vapor. I usually am dripping constantly and now I don't have to. Great mod and thanks Scotty for posting this.

I let my wife use my SD with this and the m.boro PG in it right afte rshe smoked a analog M.boro light. She was blown away.

Thanks JollyRoger. I spent the day reading EVERY post in this thread and I still don't know if it works better than some of the other mods for my 510!

I'm feeling frustrated about the inconsistency in vaper from hit to hit with polyfil or with the stirrer straw mod. I tried the blue foam dart and liked it for awhile, then it stopped working and I got a bad taste. Maybe it's just me, but it seems some days are better than others when it comes to vaping. I tell myself that we are the mavericks and new technology is on the way.

So, do you like the mod using the cupcake molds? I have a silicone hot pad I thought I could try for my 510.

I usually love R&D and want to thank everyone for all their hard work in making the vaping experience better!

I have been skeptical about the zfm since I FIrst read it when it was first introduced. I started noticing a loss of flavor filler material verusus dripping and figured, whats the worse that can happen. I finally got one of these things cut out of a cart cap (not the craftiest person) and gave her a go! All I can say is 'Thanks!' and 'Wow!'

I just tried this out and it works. tastes just like dripping, but minus the hassle.
I do have a few questions though:
    1) how do you know its time to refill? just wait for the burnt taste?
    2) any shortcuts for refilling? I don't foresee myself carrying around a needle and syringe!

    thanks

    1) The same way you know its time to refill during dripping? Doesnt taste quite the same
    2) I doubt there are any easy ways to refill while you are out unless you are using the small hole in the center with a needle tipped bottle like mentioned earlier in the thread. Just pack an extra, or carry something to remove the plug so you can refill if it falls down in.
