Thanks DaveyRoots. I think I have worked out a way to keep the reservoir separate from the other parts now, so easy for the user to refill. Will test that tomorow then worry more about it all should look |

Hi kinabaloo, I googled liquid delivery system and found this site: Liquid Injection System - HORIBA[cmd]=createtx_horibafeuserregister_pi1[cmd]=createtx_horibafeuserregister_pi1[cmd]=create It has some cool devices. I also found some patents on liquid delivery systems but didn't sign up to look at all the details. The technology definitely exists but its over my head. (I'm a software eng; hardware isn't my forte.) Maybe using this device eliminates the inhalation process, or its too big/costly to implement in an e-cig?? I know you already have this part figured out in your prototype but thought I'd share it with you since I think you're a smart cookie. My carts are always dry and its a PITA |

Update : The photos below show progress up to a few days ago. The bottom section unscrews from the top and contains the juice. The second higher section is where the atomiser is connected. It is in there that the juice is efficiently fed to the atomiser as needed, without leaking; even upside down it still works. The small side tube is the air outlet, could be epositioned and/or made larger. In this prototype I have tried to make things as small as they could reasonably be made, given the target capacity of 10ml juice - that is what this model holds. As I get time, I will build a sample vaporiser that uses it. Now that I have solved the prrevious need for it to remain upright, I might build a portable model rather than a desktop/usb style. It could be used in either. ChainSmkr - Thanks for your continued interest. I had a look at the link but that technology is for large scale manufacturing processes. |

I have tried real hard to work out a way to do this as a cart - but gravity is an issue that can only be resolved by a reservoir shape that is wider rather than longer, so it is not ideal given the shae of the standard e-cig style vaporizer. It is also a shape difficult to achieve in a prototype (could be molded ok though). So I will focus on use in newer, fatter style designs.

eggs369 - no progress as such; still thinking how to make use of it. It is not really suitable for existing cartridges, so it's either make a complete VP or try to interest a manufacturer. ps: there are no leakage problems now, even upsidedown for hours. |
