Good for you and I'm glad you see the light. Also watch for mods that do not have a kill switch, which the SD, Prodigy, GG, Janty Stick and many others do not.

CAUTION, discipline, organization, and KNOWLEDGE of the power source you are using - or use NiMH batteries that add space and weight to your mod and still require some care.

I'm certainly pleased Nico posted all that stuff about the batteries on her mod thread, and my mod has protected batteries and an on/off switch. heck I don't know what I would do if one exploded near me! Glad everyone is ok..

Are mods using CR2's no longer allowed? When did this happen and what about the juice boxes and magnums all over these forums?

To my knowledge you can still post mods with nuclear warheads for batteries if you wish, but if you are going to give step by step instructions that can be followed by a 5 year old, you should consider that a person with the common sense of a 5 year old might actually attempt that mod and you should be responsible about which batteries and switches etc. you instruct them to use. Mods are still popping up with unprotected batteries and no one is telling them not to post their mod or not to talk about unprotected batts or even trying to make them feel guilty about which batts they used.

Ahh OK...that's much better. Proper warnings to indicate any dangers is always preferable to arbitrary declarations.
