Yes, I now realize that I want my unit so bad that I am willing to take half-measures and accept less than I deserve!

Can't they just rework the T-tops and mail them to us individually at their cost?

I think if you do that, the T-Tank itself will not seat right. ( I could be wrong )

The fact is, it was designed to thread flush, then sent back to be reworked to sit lush, and ultimately, should sit flush.
    meh.

No, the problem is that if the T-Tank is .05" higher it will not seal correctly causing a leak issue. The T-Top must sit flush in order to prodide a positive seal for the tank.
    Nice try

While that would make it easier for Dan, I can see that causing more issues. This could take many more months at this rate.... how many of the next ones that they send out are going to need to be sent back? What a nightmare.

Dan, what if you had angry customers waiting for a time sensitive part? They should at least compensate YOU somehow for a major PITA!

Ok here is the email I sent Alex this morning, along with the attachments:

    Hi Alex,
I have gone through the T-Tank tops and I have about 100 that the threads do not fit the bottoms, also all of them do not sit flush. Everyone has a .05" gap when screwed onto the mid section. Attached is a picture of one I reworked and on my lathe and fits correctly (on top) and the one on the bottom is how they all fit in the currect state. I shaved about 10 thousands of an inch out of the thread relief groove and re tapped it so the top now sits flush.

I have gone through all of the 3ml tops and only have 33 that do not fit any bottoms.

I still have to go through the 5ml tops and the drip tops, and will email you my findings.

I post constant updates on the forums where I have offered this item at cost. I have 225 people that follow my thread waiting for their assembled unit. Needless to say your reputation as a company is taking a hit, many as I wonder why these problem were not discoved during the QC, even a random sampling of 10% would have yielded inconsistancies in the the product. I did point out that ALL of the T-Tops were out of spec and did not sit flush to the mid section on the first return, and yet all were sent back with the same problem.

In the ems program I used a file called test fit to ensure all parts would fit together correctly and the T-Tops as seen in the 2nd attached file, screen shot from the ems program shows that it fits flush. I am hoping that this next go around is 100% acurate and void of errors. I do not want a refund, I just need the parts correct. I have 225 people that have paid into this and I need to get the product assembled and shipped out. I can not do that until I have correct parts to work with.

I will include the samples and problems that need to be addressed when I ship the parts back.

I am not mad, just frustrated. I hope we can work together to find a resolution to these errors.
    Thanks,
    Dan

How about we get the name, web address and/or phone number of this machine shop and we all unleash our thoughts upon these bumbling fools!!!!!!! Good chance they would make an effort to get it right. LOL
