That is one fine piece of work. looking forward to seeing the pics and maybe later you could go into how to build one.... or let me know if you start production so I can buy one. Just amazing the talent in this forum.

I'm a sculptor, so I'm working with polyurethane resin and using it for a mod, (really just a customized art influenced case)

Maybe one day you could elaborate on how to work with PVC in general?
er...no, i didn't say it was molded from PVC. i stated it was "hand fab'd, this time from PVC" (fab'd meaning fabricated). cut, shaped, assembled, et al.
(on an aside, TTBOMK, PVC only becomes toxic when heated to the point of giving off fumes (same goes for your polyurethane). softening PVC ,usually in hot oil but a heat gun is also common, is pretty much a common practice in industies that need to customize shapes in the field.
tubing and pipe can expanded, re-extruded, bent and unbent to suit the particular needs at hand).

this mod (case only) uses roughly 10" of PVC pipe and two 90° elbows. also, some acylic rod i had laying around and a 2"x1" piece of plastic from a computer case(again PVC i believe). my next one will forgo the acrylic.
if you take a closer look at the pic, it should be fairly evident as to how it was constructed

anyway... thank you for the kind words, everyone! i will get some more pics up eventually, promise!

    cheers!

Wow, that makes this even more genius! It looks so well put together, it appears to have come from casting!

Thanks for the extra info on working with PVC.

Missed the "hand" fabricated. Mesmerizing that you were able to bend and shape PVC piping to do that.

Also, using the polyurethane resin may release toxic fumes in it's chemical state and while going through it's chemical hardening, melting Polyurethane resin is not what I do and as stated, this is what I am most experienced with.

Again, thanks for the info and absolutely love the mod!
