    dseanor,

You can put the battery in either way you like, doesn't matter, unless you have an LED.

    By the way,nice job...

    It was quite easy.
    510 mod.
Used a 401 USB charger for the connector - remove tag and remove the screw - split case and the connector is there with two wires attached. Unsoldered the connections and now I have a board to make a USB charger with an led.
Connector was larger than the nose cone but there was a ridge that was around a 1/4" diameter and a little bit more than a 1/8" deep, so I drilled out the nose cone just undersized and used a round file and twisted it clockwise which make groves in the nose cone area. I then pressed it in. Did not need to cut down the area above the threaded part either (the threads that screw into the nose cone). Put in some groves or slots for air for a atomizer (small file) as there are none with the connector.
All in all - came out pretty good for my first mod.
    Thanks Cisco!

    Nice job Mak

Thanks Cisco - you inspired it for sure. Have used it most of the day and I tell ya the battery last much longer than the standard 510 batts.
Seems to even hold the higher voltage longer - ya know when you first use a battery right off the charger the hit is very good. But after 10 or so hits you can see (feel) the decrease in vaper production. Just ordered a couple of batteries with a charger. I am a happy camper for sure. Thanks again Cisco.

No. This is a AAA battery, not a 10440 - meaning you will only get about 1.5v out of it which is less than half the voltage you need to fire up the atomizer.

Cisco, this is an excellent mod!!!
