Default Removing eGo giantomizer from case?

Hi there, I'm trying to mod a genesis style atty from an eGo giantomizer F1 w/pen cap. I've done this with other CE2 type clearomizers, but thought the case would make this look nicer as a finished product. Problem is I can't see any gentle way to remove the clearo from the metal case. Has anyone dealt with this? Any advice?

I used a 1/4" drive socket extension. After removing the guts, center post, and gasket place the extension inside and hold the giantomizer in one hand, hammer in the other. . Wrap a rubber glove or two around the giantomizer if you need more grip.

Thank you. I found it impossible that I was in completely uncharted territory here. Just to be clear, am I hammering the top so that it pops out the bottom (connecter end), or the reverse?

    Thanks again.

Extension through the top driving the bottom end down.
