whoa just squeezed on a battery to get the atomizer adapter off, the batt got super hot to the point where it almost burnt my fingers!.. sat it down and covered it with a frying pan,lol.. gonna let it cool off 4 a bit and hope it doesnt leak acid... guess i shouldve waited 4 a dead one but i think ill be fine?
i used a bigass momentary switch so everything is very cramped inside but looks ok so far...
question, i purchased 100-ohm 1/2 watt 5%tolerance resistor instead of the 1/8 watt madog used.. im using a 5mm red led will i be ok?

actually i put fresh batts in and still got the same prob.... sum1 had the same issue on another thread and sum1 else said its probably the silicon in the atty connector melted and shorted the connection.. so ill be replacing that and givin it another try..
even so ive definately got the mod bug allready and ive been tearin apart old electronics all day, snatchin out led's and switches
just a note, old playstation2 controllers have nice lil tactile switches under the analog sticks (for the L3 and R3 buttons)..
i also found a sweet stainless steel tube with removable caps on both ends and fit cr2's perfectly, these are a part of a mini portable camping grill u can get at sporting goods stores.. the only thing is they have holes drilled in them and will need to be cut to length, something i may work on in the future...

i still have a question concerning the madog magmod.. im going to be using a protected 14500 batt. what kind of resistor should i be using for my 5mm red led?? right now its hooked up to a 100ohm 1/2 watt.. will that be ok? and would that be good for cr2's aswell? (i got sum disposables i wanna try)

    Thumbs up

Just finished my first mag mod today and all I can say is dayum! Juices I thought had no flavor now actually taste good and vapor is great. Don't think I'll go back to 3.7 unless this cooks the atty.

Using: Mag Mod with a 510 battery connector to an 808 cartomizer using an adapter.

Good price! Those should work. Hopefully those aluminum hash marks on the top are not all the way through, might cause some headache putting in the electronics.

Madog, Great mod, thx for the vid !

What soldering iron do you have there (brand/wattage) ? That thing pops those LED's off quick !!

What would be a good iron to buy if you could reccomend one ?

    Thx, Dubs
